The room was very simple and was fine to just have a place to sleep while visiting Yosemite. The bathroom felt old and could use some updating. The pictures on the website are accurate, this is definitely a basic hotel room. Location within Mariposa is convenient and walking distance to the main strip of town. It was an hour drive from the hotel to the El Portal entrance to Yosemite.

If you are there to visit Yosemite National Park, 1) Spend the money necessary to stay in the Park or somewhere much closer to the Park. This hotel is only 30 miles (give or take) to Yosemite but it is an hour and half drive to get to the Park and another hour and half to get back. That is way too far. 2) The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors talking and doing other things (you know what I'm talking about) all night. 3) I had something taken from my room while I was gone for the day at the Park, reported it to the front desk employee who very coldly told me that it's hotel policy that no one goes into the rooms during guest visits and therefore offered no consideration or resolution my report about the stolen item - So, apparently, I am now a liar. That's a new for me. Consequently, I checked out forfeiting the remaining two nights I had prepaid for.

The room was clean and comfortable and spacious. It looked like they had done some upgrading with paint, etc. The size of the frig was larger than most that I find in a motel which was nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered Grab and Go breakfast the night before and it was ready in a bag starting at 7 am. We found it more than adequate considering the restrictions they have to work under right now. I am glad to see them continuing to operate under our current circumstances. I appreciate the effort they are making.

We are a family group that wanted to spend the day in Yosemite. The staff at Miners Inn were all very gracious, professional and accommodating. The room was large and we had a good nights sleep. The room included breakfast items for in the morning that we took in the car for an early entry into the park. There is also a restaurant across the street that we enjoyed.

I had booked a 2nd story room with a view, and was told when I checked in, that my room had been changed at the last minute with no explanation. Instead, I was sent below ground level staring at a Rite-Aid wall! While the front desk clerk, Chris, was sympathetic and very accommodating otherwise, it was a disappointment, and I felt my requests didn't matter. Otherwise, the room was clean, though small, furniture could use some TLC, as the upholstery was coming off a chair.
