We stayed 2 nights in River rock , The place is small quiet and the staff/ owners are super friendly. The breakfasts were wonderful and the rooms were really comfortable and clean. This was one of our highlights on our 2 week tour of the west coast of the US and our only regret was we did not stay longer. It was very reasonably priced as well.

well, after changing our reservations, we wound up staying for 3 nights and we were in room 9. The hotel only has 9 rooms, so quaint. When we arrived on Sunday the 9th of June it was late so our room key was in the door of the room and when we arrived they had a chalkboard stating which room. we were assigned. I thought that was so darn cute considering you are so darn tired after a 7 1/2 hours drive from las vegas, you just want your room. We checked out the cute little town and called it a night. In the morning we met Steffanie whom we had spoken to on the phone, what a sweet lady. The cafe was awesome, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels of all kinds, boiled eggs. It was adorable and they offered fresh made salads and sandwiches to order as they stayed open for lunch. Our room was small but so quaint and cozy, we did not need more although they have larger rooms available with kitchenettes if you need. After our excursion in yosemite which was quite a bit of the day we met Keven? I feel bad I cannot remember steffanies husbands name (they are the owners) and he informed me thay had a bar on the main drag so we decided to check it out. It was lovely, choices on the menu for appetizers and of course a good selection of wines. After day two we came back to their first time ever two dollar taco night. having a 2 taco and wine/beer event with live music. It was a nice refreshing change after all day hiking. We. love this hidden gem it is just so nice and sweet and the couple who own it are just terrific. We really enjoyed talking to them and staying at their hotel. The maids were outstanding and helped with anything I needed and the cafe was GREAT. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will again if we get out that way to mariposa. By the way it is a good 1 hour drive, but. pleasant one, into the valley of yosemite. So if not staying directly in the park, which has to be booked well into a year in advance, this is the place to stay. And cute shops and bars and restaurants all along the main street. Great Jobs we love your place

What a great little place. Clean, comfortable. A block off the highway so easily accessible for nice and quiet. The breakfast was amazing - good coffee and excellent fresh fruit. Great launching point for a trip into Yosemite!

River Rock Inn and Deli was very easy to check in and out of and was right along the main stretch of Mariposa. There were great restaurants within walking distance so it made the trip very comfortable. A very pleasant stay overall!

This is an ideal location for travellers staying outside Yosemite National Park. It is near the YARTS bus and walking distance to hotels and bars in Mariposa. Mariposa has been going through a bit of a Renaissance recently, maintaining its historic character but bringing in fine food, excellent coffee, and craft beers (See Savoury’s, Pony Espresso, The Alley). The River Rock also has new owners who are residents in Mariposa that care a lot about the community. For now they are serving continental breakfast which is good for getting up and out early, but it sounds like they are going to get the cafe back up and running soon as well. If you believe in supporting the local communities around National Parks, and are happy to stay in a clean & simple accommodation - this is a great spot for you.
