Our room (or maybe I should say rooms) was in Evergreen House, one of three buildings which are separate to the main hotel building. Although there was only the two of us on this occasion, we had two adjoining rooms, each with a queen bed in it and each with identical contents. We avoided the temptation to sleep in separate...

We booked our one night stay through expedia about 6 months before our trip. After looking at a lot of towns around the valley, as well as inside the valley, we chose to make our overnight trip in Mariposa because Comfort Inn was just that well priced. I tried to confirm our booking via telephone while we were in Yosemite...

On Dec. 4, 2013, I called the hotel (not the national, central reservations number) and booked the 2-bedroom suite for four nights in June 2014. I must say that the person I spoke to was very helpful and I confirmed the reservation with a credit card. I called yesterday, in April, to ask a question about the hotel and was...

My companion and I recently stayed at this motel for 2 nights to visit Yosemite Park. Overall, we thought that this motel provided good value for the low price we paid. Several hotels within Yosemite Park charge between $200 - $300 a night, so we thought that Comfort Inn Yosemite Valley Gateway was a great alternative for those (like us)...

This hotel is OK. We didn't find it to bad. Stayed for 5 nights and it was a bit noisy. The neighborhood turkey will wake you up about 6:30 every morning if your staying in the south end of the complex. Breakfast is OK, but we found the morning meal was better in town just down the street.

The electrical outlets did not function properly, and could not retain the lamp plug which would fall out and create sparks. More annoying was the prescence of insects in the beds which appeared to be feeding on us, leaving blood stains on the sheets. The Inn's clientele are more responsible for the insects than the inn, which was otherwise observed...

Not much to complain of...not much to rave about. The front desk was efficient, friendly, and helpful. Couldn't ask for much more. The price was good with a senior discount. The room was big enough. The bed was fine. Having a choice between soft and firm pillows was a nice touch. The shower was a super-saver so the fine mist...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review about our property. We appreciate the way you describe our hotel. We do try to go above and beyond for our guest, but at times we are lacking compared to the larger, more expensive hotels. Thanks again for your response. Comfort Inn 209-966-4344

Off main road in small town of Mariposa. Yet within walking distace to all restaurants and shops. Room was comfortable and very clean. Morning breakfast was full of variety. Staff was friendly. Close 30 minute drive into Yosemite. Would definitely return again.

About forty minutes away from the entrance to Yosemite, Comfort Inn was a cozy place to rest your head after hiking. The rooms were on the smaller side with a window unit for AC and heat. The wallpaper in our room was stapled together in places but the room was clean and suited our needs. My one lament was that...

I travel to Mariposa frequently for business and have stayed here many times. Always clean. A short block off the main street so no highway noise. Price is very reasonable in my opinion. Internet can be a bit slow, but that is a common complaint I hear from local residents. Biggest complain is no fridge or microwave in the rooms.

Thank you for your recommendation and for returning to stay with us many times! Our guests are pleased to find clean, comfortable rooms on a quiet hillside above Mariposa's historic downtown. Lodging in Mariposa is much more economical than within Yosemite National Park, and the West Entrance is just 32 miles from Comfort Inn Yosemite Valley Gateway. If you're on...
