We came here last week before Christmas Eve for a camping experience and we really really LOVE this place so much. The airstreams are comfortable and clean. It’s so nice to have a private room, living space, huge bathroom (that you never think how big in the airstream can do), lovely kitchenette and a fire. Also, the staff is so helpful and friendly. Trust us AutoCamp is the best place to stay in Midpines, CA!!

We originally booked a luxury glamping tent, but the heat wave was at its peak so we called in a few day before arrival to upgrade to an airstream or cabin, since they have AC. We were told at the time that they were booked, but upon arrival we had been upgraded to an airstream. This level of customer service alone has guaranteed that we will stay at Autocamps during our outdoorsy trips. We have tried a few Undercanvas locations, but find Autocamp to superior in customer service, quality and amenities. The air stream smelled of old cigarettes and frebreze, which reminded me of motel and RV rentals, but to be expected when clientele don’t follow the rules; very difficult for Autocamp to control. The AC helped mitigate this problem, but we did feel very conscious of how much AC was being used throughout the property; not very eco-friendly, but it was 112 F outside. The bed was a memory foam mattress. Not too soft, yet firm enough for a stomach sleeper. No bad mold/mildewy smells, clean sheets, and just enough bedding. The park is located 1 hour from the west ENTRANCE of Yosemite NP. So if you're goal is to hike inside the park every day, this may not be the best location since it is minimally 2 hours driving to and from the entrance. However, we'd stay here again, if we were going to enjoy foothills/river/foothill towns such as Mariposa. I didn’t try any of their food, but plenty of gourmet frozen or dehydrated culinary options for a hefty price for convenience. There is complimentary tea, coffee, and granola cereal every morning. Didn’t try the food but coffee and tea are adequate for an outdoorsy trip. The furniture was clean modern and comfortable. The patio swing was relaxing. There is also a pool, which wasn't loud at all and appeared clean. Parking is located at the front of the property, so you must use a wagon cart to carry your luggage (possibly up a hill) to your room. This didn't bother us too much, but for those with disabilities or who are unprepared and bring luggae on wheels, be warned. We stayed for 3 night in a Vista Suite and just had the best time. Accomodation was spotlessly clean, facilities excellent and the ambience of the site is just perfect. Staff really helpful. It's a bit of a drive to the park (around an hour) but well worth it to stay somewhere so perfect. Hope to visit again one day.

Run down: our air conditioner doesn’t work, they don’t have a fan and won’t switch us to another trailer. The blinds are so beat up the liners of them are broken (which creates a morning glare on half the bed). We used to love this place — the staff is extremely nice — but an AC system that isn’t fully working on July 4th weekend makes it not worth the price. I don’t know what PE firm owns these, but they’re not keeping them up.

Mixed bag staying at this campsite for 3 nights: Pros: - styling is cool throughout the campsite -tents are really spacious, we had a tent overlooking the lake which was lovely - BBQ and chairs for outside are good - beds in tent really big and comfy - pool is nice - happy hour at clubhouse and can buy some basic bits like snacks, some dinner food if you can’t be bothered to bbq every night, nice souvenirs Cons: - lack of facilities if you’re staying in a tent, no sinks which is strange when you have to prepare and cook food and when we asked a staff member what sink we could use after cooking /bbq they were very unhelpful and seemed confused at the request, we had to use the sink behind the bar - there is no communal sink area at all! - lots of staff members were rude and dismissive - food at the clubhouse not great - we had frozen bacon in the burrito which we had to send back and no apology or reduction in bill - a car parked in the car park in such a way that it blocked our car in along with several other cars. The staff were slow to sort this, they seemed reluctant to send out a text to people in the campsite to see if the car owner could be found, although the text was eventually sent it took over an hour or so to make any progress with it. We never got to the bottom of who had parked that way we just had to wait for others to wake up and move their cars. This isn’t the staff’s fault but they really didn’t seem to want to do much to help and told us we just had to wait until we could get out. It meant we were really late leaving and others were late starting their hiking etc. the camp needs to take down licence plate numbers so it is easy to track down car owners or be stricter at enforcing the rule of having the site / room number displayed on the car. Or if they had set bays marked out in the car park that would help people park better. Totally understand the way people park is outside their control but they are responsible for managing the car park and they aren’t doing a good job of that - the club house is quite basic and a lost opportunity for a much better bar with more ambience ! - catered much more towards families that the marketing suggests. Didn’t really see any other young couples / anyone except families, felt a bit like an upmarket centre Parcs / kids camp with lots of children in the pool at all times - more campfires would be good as often one family would use the campfire all evening. You do get a bbq with your tent : airstream but once you’re done with that, there’s only 1 campfire to sit round for the whole park - as many of the other reviews have said, the airstreams and tents are really packed in, on top of each other, if you’re outside bbq-ing you will be right next to another set of campers - the location is 1 hour drive to Yosemite (not 40 minutes as the website suggests) there are other hotels much closer to the park - the on-site camp shop is obscenely expensive for things like s’mores, drinks, charcoal, snacks. Just use a supermarket on the way to the campsite where you will pay half the amount for twice the amount of stuff - there were bullfrogs around the lake that made loud noises all night, every night so we didn’t sleep very much. Not really the campsites fault and you are amongst nature but I’m sure there are things they could do to stop that, the noise was so bad! Definitely take ear plugs and eye mask. - we had a family of cats living under the decking under our tent, not ideal when you’re trying to relax and bbq ! Lots of people feeding them which was not a good idea as it meant they were a bit of a nuisance. Again campsite could take steps to relocate them perhaps. All in all for the price we paid and the way the camp was marketed it didn’t meet our expectations.…

Excellent experience. Stayed 4 nights in a airstream with other family members in an adjacent tent. The club house is awesome. Pool is perfect. Camper and tent very clean on arrival. Bonfire area was perfect. One tip is bring a big cooler and food. Refrigerator is small and bonfire area has a grill so you will want to cook out. Staff very helpful and friendly. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Second time visiting. The concept is great - the execution is what makes it. The airstreams are high end - great linens, fabulous lighting, Bluetooth sound, fire pit. Clubhouse is impeccable. Trying Bikes next time. The staff seals the deal - super friendly, and around for anything. All are great, but Rose stood out this time. 35 minutes to Yosemite gate, 12 minutes to town.

I was looking to stay in one Airstream for a long time and we finally decided to stay in Autocamp Yosemite while visiting South Lake Tahoe area. You should consider that the place its not in Yosemite, it takes ~40min drive and the bus service was not available before May. I didn't like Mariposa (not good restaurants or shops) Great experience for the kids, the airstream is very well equipped, nice spacious bathroom and bedroom. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating and fire pit spending family time after a day in Yosemite park. The staff is not very friendly specially in the morning (same person in front desk was in charge of taking breakfast orders). The place needs more activities for kids and night activities around the club house fire pit to mingle with other guests. Im not sure I would come back for the price/value to this one, we might try another Autocamp.…

We chose to check out this Autocamp after reviews we had read online. It was our first time visiting Yosemite & absolutely loved our experience, many thanks to Autocamp! We brought our 2 yellow labs and stayed in one of the Vista Airstreams. We loved how we were tucked away and had our own fire pit and patio area. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable (the bed and bedding is DREAMY!!). We visited the first weekend of March so the evenings were a little chilly and it even snowed one night, but the heat inside our suite and outside at our own fire pit was phenomenal. We drove our Tesla up from south Orange County and loved the free Tesla charging. Our airstream had the perfect amount of items and storage space for our weekend. We didn’t bring any of our own food, but did take advantage of the free granola and coffee for breakfast, bought lunch from the General Store, and loved the BBQ kits we could buy in the store to grill over our little campfire!! The staff was oh so friendly and helpful. The main “lodge” is a great gathering area with live music and plenty of beverages for purchase and a warm fire inside and outside. We can’t wait to come back and visit again - seriously can’t wait!…

We leave our first AutoCamp experience with fond memories and a wish it wasn't yet over, but also a few lingering things that take the shine off this experience. Location is the biggest one. This is not Yosemite, this is Mariposa. The drive to Yosemite is an hour each way, meaning if you (like us) want two days in the park, that's four hours on the road in total. Check out time is 10am. We weren't advised of this, there is nothing in the suite to suggest this, and when I called the front desk at 0930, no one answered the phone. Check out needs to be noon in this kind of destination. What made this even more peculiar was when we eventually got through to front desk (third attempt), our request for an extra hour wasn't granted - in a completely empty camp! For the next hour wandering around, we did not see another guest. The pool was closed. A shame given how hot it was. There is no jacuzzi. The $9 bags of wood are miserably stocked and run out very fast. There was absolutely no vibe in the club house on either Friday or Saturday night. Most of the time it was empty. The indoor fire was not lit on Friday night. Some entertainment and effort in making this part of the experience would go a long way. There was no operational info in the suite itself. Given the number of heating / cooling options, that would have been nice. At check in, we received no information, either. That was a shame... little did we know it was Firefall in the park. We missed it because no one mentioned it (until check out). The suite bed had a decent bow in the middle which really impacted sleep. Too critical? Think about the price. About a grand for two nights in an airstream that's right up against dozens of others lined up in a big row, next to a busy-ish road. Now, the good - the design of the club house is brilliant. They have great beer on tap. Some of the grounds are nicely done. The suite itself, while not private, is thoughtfully put together and incredibly cute. I couldn't believe how amazing the bathroom / shower was. The suite is stocked with everything you need, even a microwave! We might try another AutoCamp, it's a fantastic concept for a weekend, but wouldn't return to this one.…
