First the good. Very fair price. Right in town near food and shops. Clean, big enough room. Well kept grounds. Wifi was strong. Check in was easy and friendly. Parking is hard if you have a big vehicle. First night the clock alarm had been set to go off at midnight. Shocked me awake and then took a bit to...

Our party of 9 stayed here for one night on our way into Yosemite. The place is a motel and as such expectations should be set. The rooms are large and adequate. They do not do breakfast, but you've got a Subway right next to it. For us it was a great location since we planned on taking the YARTS...

Context: Staying for 1 night, in winter time. Booked a king room. Basic motel accomodations. There are 2 clusters so to speak. The first one is across from the office, a row of motel rooms. The other cluster is inside behind the office, circling an inner courtyard/parking. Pros: Very clean, well equipped, with microwave, fridge, TV with satellite channels, lots...

Stayed for one night at this little motel and very happy -- it is nicely located downtown, a little 1950s (?) era motel that has been "upgraded in all the right ways" according to one reviewer. Couldn't agree more! Crisp white sheets and duvet covers, comfy pillows, clean newer carpeting... very clean (but small) bathroom with nice stone/tile upgrades. It...

We are visiting California and had 2 nights booked at the Mariposa Lodge beginning tonight. Mother Nature had other plans. Yosemite has closed its park. We waited until this morning hoping that the weather forecast was wrong. It wasn't. In calling Mariposa Lodge I understood that I might be charged for one night of our two night stay. A return...

Over the last 10 years, I have frequently traveled from Fresno to work in Mariposa and stayed at most of the Mariposa motels. This is the best for the value and for most desired features. The rooms are spacious, the heating/cooling unit works flawlessly, the wifi works great and the rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves and coffee machines.

I first stayed here about three years ago, when I picked it off the internet for a last-minute winter getaway to Yosemite. There was nothing available/affordable in the park, and since I wasn’t a Yosemite newcomer, I was willing to forego the experience of staying there. Since then, I’ve stayed at the Mariposa Lodge several times in the winters for...

Our room was spacious, clean, and affordable. Beds were soft and comfy. The old toilet seemed to be from the 70's or 80's. Bathroom floors had new laminate wood floors that were shiny and clean. The walls were very thin, so I could hear someone talking in the middle of the night. Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants....

Room was a very generous size, as was the bathroom. A bit old fashioned but beds were comfy which was the main thing after a day hiking at Yosemite NP! No laundry available, and the dry cleaners in town had short business hours, so that is the only downfall we found.

Mariposa Lodge was referred to us by the Visitors Center after a bad experience at another local hotel. The staff here was very nice and the room was great! Easy to walk to a lot of the restaurants in town. They are AAA approved and we got an additional discount for our membership.
