Our room was spacious, clean, and affordable. Beds were soft and comfy. The old toilet seemed to be from the 70's or 80's. Bathroom floors had new laminate wood floors that were shiny and clean. The walls were very thin, so I could hear someone talking in the middle of the night. Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants.... More

Room was a very generous size, as was the bathroom. A bit old fashioned but beds were comfy which was the main thing after a day hiking at Yosemite NP! No laundry available, and the dry cleaners in town had short business hours, so that is the only downfall we found.

Mariposa Lodge was referred to us by the Visitors Center after a bad experience at another local hotel. The staff here was very nice and the room was great! Easy to walk to a lot of the restaurants in town. They are AAA approved and we got an additional discount for our membership.

My husband, his brother and his wife arrived in Mariposa very tired and hungry after a long day driving through the Tioga Pass in Yosemite with a flat tire, which the "boys" had to keep pumping up! The very kind woman at the Mariposa Visitor Center recommended the Mariposa Lodge and what a comfort it was! We stayed in a... More

The hotel offers simple but clean rooms. The staff was nice, but the Wifi not always working very well (especially in the evening/night). Not a cheap hotel but still ok. You still need about 50min to drive to the NP but Mariposa is a small nice town where you have some good restaurants and a supermarket in walking distance to... More

This is a small, one-story, exterior door motel which still uses brass keys to get into your room. The room was spacious, had AC and the bed comfortable. We had a fridge and microwave also. The wifi was very strong - yay! They do not serve breakfast here but there are many places around to get coffee or whatever. They... More

This was a great place to stay for the 2 nights my mom wanted to spend in Yosemite. The property is a spread out 1-2 story 1960s-1970a exterior corridor motel, but we got a huge room for a very good price. Considering this place used to be what was likely a very dumpy America's Best Value Inn, you guys being... More

The only downside we found was that the internet connection was s l o w. This is not the only place in Mariposa that has this problem, i suspect an overall bandwidth issue. The mattress was too soft for me. That's the only downside. Did not use pool or hot tub, so no help there. The lodge is in the... More

A pleasant room and a quiet location. Excellent for Yosemite. Plenty of places to eat at--excellent restaurant across the road. The basin plug was missing. A light switch was missing a knob. The soap tray was about 7 feet from the floor. Heater quite noisy. Apart from some maintenance matters, it's an ok place.

Needing a base to visit Yosemite but being on a budget I decided on looking into accommodations in some of the nearby towns. Mariposa, one of the old Gold Rush towns of the Sierra Nevada foothills was where we went and since it's only about 45 minutes from the National Park's entrance I looked for a place to stay. When I...
