We stayed here on our final leg of our LA trip so that we were closer to Santa Monica, Venice beach and Malibu. The rooms weren't of a good standard, and the staff seemed unbothered and quite frankly very cold. Breakfast was subpar and often barely warm. Overall not worth the £500 per night that we spent

Poor room include ceiling mold. Not worth for what you pay and definitely not a 5 star. The air filter wasn’t replaced at least for the last 3 months. The frontline employees are awesome. Front management not good. The hotel needs to be fully remodeled. Until then, it is not worth half of the nightly rate .

Maybe it was an off day for the staff, maybe they were in a mood. Maybe they're tired and overworked or maybe they're always like that? Either way, my stay at The Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey was less than memorable and far less than acceptable. Prior to check-in, I sent the front desk staff a message on the Marriott app requesting an upgrade, if available. I had explained that I was a Titanium Elite member hoping to hold a few meetings in my room to create a bubble for protection from the virus and that I was hopeful for an upgrade to a room with some more space. They were responsive but would not promise anything. On the day I arrived, I sent another message. When I arrived at the hotel and inquired, they informed me that all of their suites were booked. I had no issue with that -- but they did not seek to help out any further. Nobody asked about how else they could facilitate my meetings. Nobody asked how else they could help or create more ease. They just weren't interested in teh discussion. They did remind me repeatedly that I got a marina view -- which frankly, did not matter to me. I needed sitting area for my colleagues. The whole exchange set me off. Nobody smiled or said hi upon check in. Nobody passing in the hallways even smiled or looked up much. Customer service at this hotel is mediocre at best and lacking in some very important ways. Valet didn't offer to help with bags. He stood there and watched me unload the car myself. Walls between rooms were paper thin and we could hear everything in our adjacent rooms. I've stayed at the marriott, Hilton, Renaissance, Sheraton and HGI at LAX and they all have much better soundproofing. Food was fine but not amazing. When I called downstairs to inquire about a cab to LAX the next morning, I was told not to rely on them and that I should call an uber. No effort to help book a car or facilitate getting me to the airport. Everyone just feels too busy and that you're some kind of minor distraction everything you're doing. All in all, for $500/night, I think this property should be doing much better. The property is lovely -- nice hallways, artwork and landscaping. Pool and gym are nice too. But in the end, it's the personal interaction and engagement that create the real bonds. And it's clear that this hotel doesn't care or need relationships much. I expected so much more from a Ritz-Carlton.

One may think a luxury hotel can sometimes be "cookie cutter" or "standardized" and you get what you pay for. Well my experience in the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey was that, it is very personable. I was greeted very warmly and sincerely by Front desk Mr Ernesto, he welcomed me like an old friend/family. As a solo traveller, it tends to get lonely, and it felt great to have someone welcome u unexpectedly like that. I very much appreciate all the small chats we had, thank you for being here and treating me so genuinely. Ms Carmen also did me a great favor and been very patient, understanding and helpful Also a special thanks to housekeepers Mr Guerra and Ms Jenifer, for helping me with random tasks. Your helpfulness and going out of your way to help me was much appreciated. I can tell that you really care about your guests. Last but not least, I had a great time dining there. Thank you to both Mr Adam W, and Ms Samantha for your wonderful chat and hospitalities, your food recommendation and conversations made my night. This hotel is full of great personalities. You have a great team in this hotel, very well done! Im very much looking forward to stay here again, a longer stay next time! Thank you everyone and happy new year!

My family enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey. Staff were so helpful and thoughtful and really made us feel pampered. We enjoyed dinner watching the sunset and seeing the sunrise from the fitness room. My son especially loved the pool and jacuzzi.
