The hotel was very conveniently located to stay will transiting through LAX. Beautiful Marina views and nice morning walks. The room was small but nice furniture and appliances. Enjoyed our short stay!
Checked in yesterday and our marina view room overlooks the marina, AND the outdoor restaurant below my room. Perfect if you like it noisy. This morning at 6:30 AM drilling and hammering began. I called the front desk and was advised it was ‘planned maintenance’. Already exhausted from jet lag, this was ridiculous. I was told they’d ask maintenance to stop, but they didn’t. I called back again and was told they couldn’t do anything. I asked for the hotel manager twice but told she wasn’t in. Called back yet again only to be told they’d move our room and maintenance would be ongoing because there was a leak in the restaurant below our room. They said if they didn’t fix it before the restaurant opened that it would ‘disturb’ diners. Oh really? How about disturbing your paying hotel guests? I was further told the manager couldn’t yet speak to me because she was ‘in a meeting’. So now I have to completely repack our things and move, ruining my planned activities for this morning. In addition to this, we had two dirty towels in the room (one towel with someone’s long hair on it which was gross) and a moldy shower; I’ve posted photos. Being in the travel industry, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. There are far better places to stay who value their guests.…
Very unsatisfied with our stay overall..first of all we had to wait back in a long line for our room to be ready when we were told they would call us and never did, then we had planned to have dinner there for our special day and that was a total fail due to no heads up or communication from them about the restaurant being so popular and we had to make a reservation when we seen and talked to a lot of people coming to dine that weren’t even staying there but yet we never were informed or felt we had priority for staying there. We tried to make RSVP for dinner and brunch both didn’t work out we had to have Fatburger for dinner which was really terrible and sad.
This place was the perfect local getaway during a pandemic! This is a hidden gem in the heart of Marina del Rey and it delivered what the reviews and pictures promised. Although there was no housekeeping service, for safety, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room had a perfect view of the marina, with comfortable beds and bedding, a large flat screen TV, WiFi, and plenty of room for two people. They even have bicycles for rent available, to ride around the Marina! Highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon.
It was an unusual time in the United States as most hotels were temporarily closed down. Although the Marina del Rey hotel kept their staff to the minimum, the hotel was clean, tidy and well-maintained. Led by General Manager Daniel, the team was very helpful, supportive and accommodating. They did everything they could to make up for the reduced services and amenities. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, it was really nice to be right next to the marina. We had a corner one bedroom suite and it was perfect for the three of us. The room had a huge balcony, and it was spacious and bright, overlooking the marina. It was the perfect venue for us to “Stay at Home.” In fact, I would go as far as calling it “an oasis in the public health crisis!”
