This hotel is VERY OVERRATED, DO NOT PAY THE PRICE. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. ROOMS ARE SMALL AND CHEAP. Staff needs more customer service training, some were very rude, like the Belt Hop r-named Manor or something. Did not wear a nametag. I understand why, he is very rude. No manners and very unprofessional. Only somewhat nice thing about this hotel is the lobby. Rooms are not nice. TOWELS FEEL LIKE SANDPAPER-this is for real. Hurt my FACE AND skin. SHOCKED AT THE HOTEL AND THE PRICE. PLEASE GO SOME PLACE ELSE, NOT HERE!!!
This hotel is dated with some renovations, but not at all the caliber I’ve come to expect from other Autograph Collection properties. This was a bit of a disappointment. Check in was smooth, the room was smaller than I’d expect, and the temperature was very difficult to keep consistent. The room became very humid. The walls are paper thin, I could hear everything loud and clear in the hallway and complete conversations from the neighbouring room. There was an issue with the key cards letting me in and out of the parking garage - another couple was having the same issue. This was a bit of an annoyance as there was a line forming wanting to get out of the garage but we were several cars stuck. The bed was comfortable.
I have stayed a number of times at this great hotel. Staff are really friendly, pool area is really nice and quiet. Two negatives which lost one star . No cleaning in the 3 nights we were there not even fresh towels. Our room had the noisiest air con which was a bit of a bummer. All in all I would stay here again. Great location near a small shopping centre.
Westdrift lists itself as a Manhattan Beach hotel. It is kind of....more El Segundo in actuality. It is a far walk to the beach from the hotel but it can be done and there is a path. The hotel highlights: nice property great pool lovely lobby rooms are great/bed comfy 10 minutes from LAX Not a whole lot on the negative side other than nowhere to get food before 7 am. There is a coffee store with muffins but kind of shocked, being so near LAX, with people taking early a.m. flights the restaurant (and room service) doesn't start until 7 am. Each morning I was there, the restaurant had a line of people waiting to be seated. Hint....maybe open, say 6-ish?
Pros: Large hotel right on the golf course, it is close to the malls and some good eating places. The pier and the beach are only a 10 minute drive from the hotel. The rooms are well appointed and the food decent. Cons: No complementary water in the room. Also, the fridge in the room had no freezer and I needed to freeze some gel packs to store some prescription medication. The hotel refused to keep the packs in their refrigerator, which was highly inconvenient.
The hotel room was very lovely and clean and quiet. From contracting with Luann Uzler to catering planner Katrina Alaniz was amazing. They worked with our budget and were accommodating and flexible regarding events for our meeting. During the Meeting we were treated and assisted by many attendance from the Captains, Andrew Pinon, Beto Becerra, Elias with the Smile. Also, the Director whom I could not remember his name but would check on us. I have to give a BIG shout out to the two AV people who assisted Chris Ybarra and Co worker who went above and beyond in assisting us with AV. I want to thank them all. If ever you want to work at a place that makes you feel not like only a hotel but meeting up with friends. This is an amazing place to be. I also wanted to give a knod to the meal attendants and those who work at the back end like Juan who assisted with the Yoga Event, Fernando Martinez at the bar and the two wonderful attendance during our meals. I am sorry if I forgotten someone by name. Thank you for an amazing and successful event. Whatever bumps encountered during our stay was resolved and did not overshadow making the meeting a success. I would recommend this location 100%…
I stayed here on two separate occasions over a week and found the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are great, very clean and location is right where you need to be out of the main hustle and bustle of the airport. I would recommend this for families and business travellers alike.
I really can’t say enough good things about this property. We have stayed at a number of different hotels in the area and have decided this is our go to place. The location is great- easy to walk to restaurants for a quick bite. For us, the fact that they have EV chargers in the covered parking garage is a bonus (no cost to charge but there is a reasonable parking fee). The hotel is set back so you don’t get street noise and if you get a room facing the back you get a view of the par 3 golf course! Another big plus: they have purified water dispensers so you can refill free of charge! Love this…no need to cart water to the room. Keep in mind that if you want housekeeping you need to request 24 hrs in advance. Personally, I am fine with not having daily housekeeping BUT it would be great if the hotel supplied you with extra towels so you don’t have to request more. Also, a basket/ hamper for used / wet towels would be great…I’ve seen this in a number of hotels since daily housekeeping has been somewhat eliminated Again, great staff, nice clean and spacious rooms..you can’t miss with this hotel. Thank you!…
This was a free night from my Marriott Bonvoy account. It was nice, clean, decent restaurant without too much price gouging, easy parking, nice location by a golf course. Not really near the beach, but we had a car so it was okay.
The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and was overall a great stay. Rooms are a spacious/normal size, well laid out/spacious gym, lots of natural light throughout the property, and easy connected self parking. Valet parking was $49 and self parking was $39. I’d definitely stay here again. As an FYI it’s in Manhattan beach but not a quick walk to the beach nor downtown Manhattan beach strip.
