I decided to spend a weekend at the Malibu Beach Inn after stopping in one day recently on a drive up the coast from Los Angeles. This was one of the best weekends I have had in a very long time First of all the location is perfect right near the Malibu Pier, the rooms are all facing the ocean and have individual balconies I decided to get a junior suite which had a double balcony , two tvs , the larger in the sitting room. The rooms were both equipped with up to date electrical outlets and WiFi and computer ports The one room where the couch and desk and 72 inch tv is has a bar and refrigerator with a great selection of snacks and drinks to be paid for but very convenient. The bathroom was very modern and chic and the Toto toilet was definitely one of the faves. The ability for a toilet to know when you are coming in the room and lights go on if it’s dark out makes my day, including the heated toilet seat . The views and the sound of the waves was just what I needed and it was beyond relaxing

The hotel has a restaurant that I got room service from and it was very good to say the least and the service was very fast. Next time I go back, I will definitely eat on the restaurant patio.

The front desk staff, valet and operations really made this stay even better. Everyone aimed to please and make sure I was well taken care of. The General Manager of the hotel , Young Yoon seemed to be there from early morning till evening with a hands on approach to making sure everything was perfect during my stay as he delegates the staff with professionalism and kindness.

For all these reasons and more , I hope to return to the Malibu Beach Inn and I suggest you readers try it out soon. It is definitely worth it. I was curious if there would be noise from PCH but I honestly never heard a peep except of the waves ripping outside my window

We went for a big birthday. We had a king oceanfront room with a fireplace and balcony. Going to sleep to the sound of waves was utterly transporting. When tide was in, the water was basically under the room, so it felt like an overwater bungalow. The bed and sheets were delightful. Amenities were lovely. Bluetooth is in the room. The room decor is California beach chic and our third floor room had sloped ceilings which gave enhanced space. Room service was quick and servers wore face masks and shields. We never had maid service or turndown so we could best achieve isolation. Rafael served us quite a few times and he was really wonderful. The beach is private and they will set up chaises where you want them. They have cold water, towels, and umbrellas also. Food was a very pleasant surprise. Not only were all meals served at the appropriate temperature, but they were delicious. It’s notable when room service is consistently good. All in all, a splendid couple of days away. We would happily return.

Hotel is located right on a beach. We enjoyed our room that was spacious, well decorated and everything worked. Their shower is cleverly designed. The shower nob is opposite the shower head so you don’t spray yourself when turning it on. Staff is friendly. Restaurant serves wonderful food. I ate Avocado Toast, Salmon and Nicoise Salad. Kid burger was burned. Not sure if they must fully cooked the meat for health reasons or not.

I think it is better designed for adults than families. Location is idilic for the couples in love who can stroll on a beach and enjoy Pacific Ocean views from their balconies. No spa on site. And no shuttle service but their Uber and Lyft. There is no pool which kids love. And Beach is very narrow. Not sure it is the best for kids. We made the best of it, however.

Lockdown was beginning to get to us so I decided to plan a short getaway for my husband's birthday. I did a lot of research, read a ton of reviews to find a coastal hotel that was taking COVID precautions seriously but still had the services you want from a hotel. Malibu Beach Inn fit the bill.

The hotel is right on PCH but we had an ocean front room and didn't hear a peep of street noise over the sound of the crashing surf. I think the reviews that complain about traffic noise are from the Pier view rooms which are cheaper.

We had room service breakfast each morning and just sat on our balcony enjoying that unbeatable view.

The amenities in the room are top notch. The mini bar is extensive. Bed super comfortable with gorgeous linens.

We were there for 2 nights and never used our car. Walked to Malibu Farm on the pier for dinner one night and you can also walk to Nobu (if you can get a reservation). The beach in front of the hotel was not available during our time due to tides but we just walked over to Surfrider beach.

I can't wait to go back.

We just returned from a weekend getaway to this hotel and fell in love! The oceanfront rooms are worth the splurge. You can be in bed looking out over your balcony and it feels like you are on a cruise ship, as all you see is ocean. The room itself is spacious - we loved the fireplace especially for the cooler months. The bed was amazingly comfortable - after having road tripped down the coast from San Francisco, it was nice to sink into the bed with the sound of the crashing waves and the fireplace going.
The bathroom was not the biggest but as long as it has a heated seat, I'm happy :)

The location is perfectly situated between Malibu Pier and spots like Nobu and Little Beach House Malibu. We walked along the beach to get to Nobu for dinner or Malibu Farm for breakfast.

We did have brunch at the hotel. Personally, I thought the brunch menu was limited and not very innovative. Cocktails were good and the view is hard to beat.

I had a wonderful stay at Malibu Beach Inn! The hotel facilities were truly exceptional. The location right on the beach is absolutely stunning, and the views from the rooms are breathtaking. The rooms themselves are elegantly decorated and extremely comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. One of the highlights of the stay was meeting Realda. She was the most gracious host and her attention to detail was incredible. She kindly upgraded our room as it was my sisters birthday, we had a cake in the room along with a sweet birthday card. She packed up a bag of towels and freshly baked cookies we could enjoy on the beach. She was amazing!

Malibu Beach Inn exceeded my expectations in every way, providing a luxurious and unforgettable beachfront experience. I can't wait to return and make more cherished memories at this exceptional hotel.

If there is one thing that stands out about the Malibu Beach Inn it is the level of service at every level that one receives from the moment of check-in to the moment of departure.

Of course, there are also the rooms, which are spotless, luxurious and peaceful as you sit on your balcony listening to the shushing of the waves below.

And then there is the restaurant (book early!), where you sit just above the waves while enjoying perfectly prepared food served by cordial and informative wait staff.

During our stay we did run into a very small issue, and every staff member we encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant, went to great lengths to ensure it was resolved quickly and to our complete satisfaction.

This establishment is truly deserving of being listed among the Leading Hotels of the World.

I stayed two nights to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. Everyone was so accommodating leading up to the stay. I asked if they could place balloons and cake in my room prior to arrival, and without hesitation everything was impeccable set up in my room. Room 108 was the perfect room!
Ellie was incredibly helpful during the stay!

On November 1st 2019 I booked three nights at Malibu Beach Inn and while the room was agreeable the ambiance and general look and feel of the place was not to my liking. What’s worse, upon my departure I was saddled with a $700 smoking fee when I only placed a put out cigarette in the bathroom and left it there overnight. I did not smoke in the room. Upon requesting the bill on February 16 I noticed the additional “smoking” charge and four or five unknown food charges on top of the $1,944.62 that I paid for the room.

I recently stayed for my birthday in December2021. I liked the view from my room off the balcony and enjoyed the private access to the beach from that wing.

Rooms look new inside!! Just stayed there in November. Two nights are perfect. Plenty to do in and around Malibu. Make sure you do a sunset dinner on their deck restaurant. Also visit Malibu farm restaurant and/or diner on the Malibu wharf. Zuma beach just north also lots of fun ( check out SUNSET restaurant and bar). Have fun!

As far as road conditions due to this weeks rain/ mudslides, I would definitely check with the CHP however it’s important to note that the fires haven’t really affected the businesses, such as Malibu Beach Inn. located on Pacific Coast Highway. Keep in mind it will definitely be cooler in February but should be sunny. The Malibu Beach Inn is a great boutique-y hotel. It’s got an awesome location right on the beach with restaurants and shops conveniently located. VERY low key but definitely upscale. You’ll love it!
