We camped here in our mid-sized trailer in E loop, just across the street from the river. The site itself was large, clean, and well treed with neighbours only on one side, and not even too close. The parking pad was flat, but was a tough manoeuvre to get in. Some downsides: -most disappointed that we received no maps of... More

We were there beginning of Aug with family. No question, campground clean and well kept. Campsites were a lot smaller then they appeared on the website. Tight fit once we got our camper and tent set up. Think the charges for the tent were pricey as most sites we camp at in Saskatchewan allow one tent per site for free.... More

Large campground with only 3 shower stalls? Really? Pay at the store for tokens to use for the showers which by the way when we checked in gave us zero info, not even a map. Our site was water view but was so neglected that there wasn't any way to see the water. Not too far to drive into Banff... More

Overall a good campground and good location. A few of the campsites are quite open with few trees. Try to avoid those as you will get a lot more of the wind. Is right by the Bow River, do has a few good trails. Also has a paved 5 km path that is greats for bikes.

We stayed at Bow Valley Campground on the August long weekend. It is a ways off the road and as others have pointed out a few more signs along the way would have been helpful. We printed off our permit online as instructed but when we checked in at the store were told we didn't need it and were given... More

We had a great time here for the most part. Had a couple of other campers that had their dogs tied up so that they could actually reach the road. Every time we walked by with our dogs, those ones would run out barking and causing a disturbance. I don't see why they have to be tied where they can... More

We stayed at Bow Valley Campground for four nights in mid July 2016. We reserved our campsite using the province of Alberta's website (reserveAlberta) in mid April of the same year. Sites with power go quickly on the reservation site. There are also many sites at the campground that are available on a first-come, first served basis. Our site was... More

We chose Bow Valley Campground because it was close to Canmore and by the Bow River. It is quite a drive off the highway and more than once we wondered if we were lost - a few more signs may be useful. The campground is large and the sited in the C loop by the river were quite close together... More

We camped there in our trailer for 5 days in June 2016. Beautiful and tranquil location with good foliage betwen the campsites. We were in C28- a little tight to get the trailer in but overall a decent size site. Staff at the reception friendly and helpful. Vault restrooms were clean. Lots of trails to the river, mostly through other... More

Beautiful location. Campsite backed on to the Bow River. Lots of privacy between campsites. C-23... Spot was not a bad size - fit a camper and tent but the fire pit was in an awkward location and we were not able to pull out awning. I looked at other sites and there fire pit seemed better located. Did not utilize... More
