Came to Camp Lotus with a large group (50 plus) and again had a wonderful stay. Great sites, staff super helpful. The store has the things that you need (and forgot.) Favorite place to stay on the American River.

Really disappointed in the misleading reviews. This is not a campsite, it is a crowded parking lot with a few patches of dirt and grass. OK if you need a place to sleep and party after river rafting, but not pretty in any way. Our "secluded" spot was a parch of grass next to the parking lot, their is a...

I wanted to introduce my friend who lives in Sacramento, but never has rafted. In past years I drove from South Lake Tahoe, but since my friend lived in Sacramento I decided to stay at Camp Lotus in their cabins. It was a wonderful decision. The cabins are roomy include a full kitchen, private bathroom. You have use of a...

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, it was absolutely perfect! We had an RV and we needed to the kids to pop their tent next to us - great accommodations and space! (see photo) The American river is close by, the showers were FREE and bathrooms were pretty decent. No outlets that I could find to blow dry...

I could not have asked for more than Camp Lotus. Of course it was great that our river trip started at Camp Lotus, but beyond that it offers so much. Clean showers with good pressure, large lots with GREEN GRASS and fire pits, a nice camp store, several small beaches with river access and of course a VERY kind staff....

We stayed here to go white water rafting with Sierra White water rafting company. The camp ground us packed with tents. It located on the river and a great place to float. The general store has everything. A couple sets of bathrooms and Fred showers. Cabins are available for rent as well. We stayed in the camp that is actually...

The good - Wonderful swimming and place to float in the water. Ideal for rafting as there are tours that launch from there. The staff is accomodating and baked goods in the morning wonderful. Bathrooms and showers are kept very clean and campground is in general very well maintained. Campsite equiped with fire pit, picnic table, running water and electric....

Such an awesome time. Great family campground along the South Fork of the American River, CA. Use Action Whitewater Rafting! Amazing staff, and guides are amazing. Plus, they cook for you. Nom nom nom. Oh, FREE HOT showers too! A place to relax and unwind.

Awesome place to spend a weekend.  Things to know: 1) Very central for rafting.  Many of the rafting companies operate nearby or even in the campground.  2) The owners are very serious about the quiet times and no dog policies.  They patrol and make sure things get quiet at 10pm. 3) Tons of 20-something outdoor enthusiasts.  They can be loud,...

We just camped and partied at Camp Lotus all weekend for friends' anniversary. About 80 people and we had loads of camp sites and cabins. There was plenty of room for us to cook, eat, talk, and dance. During the day, people went rafting, kayaking, hiking and just sitting by the river. All in all it was very peaceful, very...

“We stayed in #2, which was small and very close to #1 & #3. #1 is right on the road - no privacy. I think that #4 was the best in our row.”

“This is a camping resort. There are also cabins but I didn't see them. We were in R camp site which had room for 3 tents, 2 picnic tables and was right next to the river (though screened from view by foliage). Great place to camp. The quiet policy really worked - everyone chilled out by 10. I was so grateful.”
