I'll just go into the "Pet Friendly" categorization. When you check in they say - that will be an extra $75. Does that mean they pay their house cleaners an extra $25 an hour for three hours to clean up any possible dog hair we left in a pet friendly room? And while many "pet friendly" hotels have a dog pad and a dog treat on the table in the room - not here. For $75??

Been staying with this hotel for years and since their new recent management change, it has been driven into the ground. Standards of quality is very inconsistent, there are countless issues with the rooms regardless of their recent renovations that they seem to boast about. Something will always not be working so you'll have to end up changing rooms a few times until they find one thats in decent shape. To top it all off, during my most recent check-in at the front desk, there stood a man whom I found out later is the newly appointed General Manager at this hotel and another one, just standing at the desk with a line of people waiting to check in and phones ringing like crazy not providing any customer service. Another guy walked in that worked the front desk and was berated by the General Manager in front of their clients for not doing their job. You're a general manager there pal. Attitude reflect leadership and I can see why this place isn't what it used to be anymore.

Well over 35 years ago, my husband and I held our wedding reception at the Toll House Hotel. Needing a room for the night due to our home being fumigated, we thought it would be fun to stay at the Toll House again. BIG mistake! Horribly uncomfortable bed. Loud guests/paper thin walls? Toilet cleaning supplies left by room door. However, the WORST was being given a front room on the street. We were woken at 4 AM by the sounds of USPS trucks being loaded at the post office. There was no way to sleep through it. We ended up packing up and heading home. Our intention was to spend the night in order to have a hot shower in the morning as our gas had been shut off for the fumigation. Huge waste of money! Should have just stayed at home the final night of our Fumigation Vacation. Why they put us in a front room when they MUST know of the post office noise issue I’ll never know. At a minimum we should have been informed. Hotel Los Gatos would have been a smarter choice.

We made the unfortunate decision to have a hotel block here for our wedding. The manager on site Chris is unbelievably rude and snark. Though we booked 30+ rooms, he would not allow us to see in person any of the hotel rooms. We flew in from Seattle for the weekend for this. He stated the hotel is under construction, we said that is fine with us, we want to get a general idea. He then said the rooms are all booked. He then said to check the next day. We checked the next day and again we got a runaround. We are unsure how all the rooms are booked when Covid restrictions specify limitations. We could not believe his level of impolite, ill-mannered, and unpleasant service to clients and guests at this hotel. We are shocked someone of this behavior works in hospitality. He was not accommodating nor hospitable. This was about the worst level of customer service we have received, and it says a lot about the hotel in general. Highly do not recommend, there are better hotels with more personable, and hospitable staff in Los Gatos. Stay away from this hotel. And certainly DO NOT get a hotel block here. We are embarrassed our family and friends will deal with this. We have requested to terminate our hotel block due to poor manners and unrefined demeanor.

I recently stayed at The Toll House Hotel for my wedding. Prior to arrival, I received a call from Abel to confirm our stay. I had a couple of requests and he was happy to make sure they were entered into the system. I let him know that I was coming for my wedding and he genuinely sounded so happy for me! As our wedding was right in the middle of COVID times, you're extra aware of how establishments are maintaining their cleanliness and safety protocols. Upon entering the lobby, I saw plenty of hand sanitizer stations, signs and floor markers reminding people to maintain social distancing and to stay 6ft apart. At check-in, we were greeted by Enrique who was friendly and super helpful in finding a room that had better light. I stayed in the Parlor Suite while my husband booked a Junior Suite. Both rooms were clean. I appreciated how all of the remotes were wrapped a plastic bag to let us know that it had been cleaned prior. On our second night, the hotel surprised us with a congratulatory bottle of wine and cute little glasses. That was such a sweet gesture! I'm guessing Abel had something to do with that and maybe put a note on our reservation. Overall, we had a great time. Everyone we came in contact with was very genuine and had a great attitude. I didn't catch the gal's name at check-out, but she was also very sweet.
