Mother’s Day and 44th. wedding anniversary 2-night staycation treat for my wife. Charming hotel located in a very nice, safe and quiet neighborhood, with several dining options a short walking distance from the hotel property. Room a little bit small but comfortable, clean and quiet. I am guessing this is an older but a well maintained property indeed. Bed and pillows comfortable. Bathroom looks old but clean and also looks well maintained, thick bath towels, they could provide better quality toilet paper. Nice pool area with a separate lovely courtyard where hotel guests can sit and relax. Hotel does not charge extra for parking and wifi but charges $25 a day “amenity fee.” Oh well, but we had a lovely and delightful staycation.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It is not a cookie cutter hotel from a big chain. It is vey charming and the staff was great! The pool is small but pretty and the location is ideal. There were great restaurant options nearby.
We booked a weekend stay at the Hotel Los Gatos. On the whole, the property does have a lot going for it. Yes, there's more kitsch to the aesthetic, but it is a very nice property, well located in Los Gatos (which is a very cute town in the Valley) for which you can walk anywhere in the town easily. Our check in was easy; however, the front attendent made a point about us booking with a third-party (we did, it was 60% lower than the rack rate on their site) and I didn't think this was worth commenting to me. We were promised a mountain view room (it was of an adjacent parking lot and garbage dumpster) Our big issue was maintenance. Specifically, our TV was broken and we asked the front desk to send someone in three times over two days and no one came. We didn't come to watch TV, but you shouldn't have to ask three times for something like that to be looked at. Even if it was never fixed (all channels, including the weather channel, were blocked with the parental controls). Our sink was leaking over the counter as well and that was never addressed, even after maid service. Check out was a bust - a very young check out clerk was more concerned with the bridal shower being hosted then helping me check out ("we're done here" was a cute touch on his part) despite me never even bringing up the issues we experienced with him. If you want a cool wine weekend in the Santa Cruz AVA and don't need the round the clock service of a 4-5 star hotel (and want to take advantage of beautiful Los Gatos), this place would be fine. Meh.…
$25 daily amenity fee for WiFi, Keurig doughnut shop coffee(lobby), pool access and parking. There is no security staff on property. Exterior doors key entry systems are often defeated by doors not closing properly. No operating outside bar, pool side dining or services. The hotel spa located in basement below the lobby was locked and dark. Guest rooms are dark and wood surfaces show significant wear. Gottta be better options for the price.
Very cute, quaint, and quiet little resort in the heart of Los Gatos. The pool is heated, there is a hot tub, the rooms were very clean... and Jordie made sure we were comfortable in our stay for 10 days. Would definitely return here! Thank you!
I was here with my husband for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint.! The front desk agent Gabby was accommodating to my requests and found us a great location for lunch. The room is in need of some TLC but they are clean and well maintained.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Los Gatos again for our 8 year anniversary. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the rooms charming and cozy. A perfect getaway for any special occasion!
Hotel Los Gatos is a great boutique hotel centrally located in Los Gatos. I went for a girls weekend getaway, and it was perfect, The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was large and very comfortable. The beds were amazingly comfortable;I slept like a baby! There are a lot of great shops and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel, I can’t wait to go back,
Nice hotel. Newly renovated. Very clean and pleasant room. Very good staff and service. Electric/Hybrid bank of chargers in parking. Breakfast, not so good. Box with a plastic bag muffin. Coffee good. Hotel is in proximity to many restaurants. Worth a repeat.
The hotel is tired and dowdy. There nothing wrong with it necessarily, but it’s not a 4.5. Needs a refresh. The hotel website says they have Gilchrist & Soames bath products, plush robes and fine linens - they have none of his. In fact, the quality of the non-descript bath products (especially the soap) is worse than any I’ve found in any hotel in recent years. The website says guests can work out for free in a gym down the street. That is untrue. These are not Covid-safety service suspensions, these are economic decisions. I can even understand that but for me the primary issue here is untruthful, misleading advertising on their own website, and that is why I’m taking he time to voice my view.
