The hotel was clean, neat, secure, and the continental breakfasts were great. The Metro Subway was just down the street giving us easy access to Hollywood Blvd. without having to pay very high parking fees.

Very nice and clean hotel with an amazing location. The Metro station is like minute walking from the hotel. From the street of the hotel you can see Hollywood sign even i mean really good location. The major attractions are not to far as well (TLC, Walk of fame, Dolby theater) everything is 10-15 minutes away. They have nice and... More

If I was to offer someone advice who was planning a visit to LA, I would advise them to avoid spending a fortune to stay at a hotel Downtown and to stay at a mid-range hotel close to the Metro line. For us, the Avenue Hotel ticked all of our boxes. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly and helped... More

First thing that hit us was the smell of the lobby, you know that over powering disinfectant smell trying to mask an order but not quite doing the job, well that was the smell. It took 4 tries before we found a room that was not moldy smelling, walls with lots of damaged, obviously not cleaned before we found one... More

The place is dirty with bad personal . The only thing nice was at check in , other personal look at the phone and doesn't care about you . Complementary breakfast end at 9, and if you are eating they clean your table without taking care of you . Good point is he strategic position in LA. You can find... More

Stayed here for one night only, we arrived a lot earlier than check in time, but the wonderful man on reception sorted out a room for us early so we could get in and start exploring LA. Room was large and perfectly fine, clean tidy and suited our needs perfectly. We went downstairs to ask about getting in to LA... More

My son was bitten head to toe with bed bugs on the 1st night. Then, wasn't able to have room changed until another night in this infested room. Was told there wasn't any management available to discuss with until Tuesday(3 days later). NO laundry room or laundry service despite numerous sites stating there was. The icing on the cake: they... Absolutely crap hotel, rooms were dirty, showers dirty, dust everywhere, the area surrounding the hotel wasn't that great either. You hear sirens the entire night through, heard a drunken argument and screams of rape coming from one room in the hotel. Would not recommend it to anyone.

The lobby was clean and nice but then it goes down hill from there. I did the most sensible thing...look at the room before giving them my CC. The walls and floors were dirty I wouldn't wear socks and would sleep with my shoes on. Parking deck has several cars covered in 3 year old dust, wouldn't be surprised if... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
