A place where the customer is always wrong You are unwelcome here You might get stuck in the elevator, ring the alarm and … nobody does anything … Check in at your own risk ! Proper Internet connection to do business is essential: nowadays, bandwidth is a UTILITY not an AMENITY. After reporting 3 times a problem with the bandwidth, the director of guest services (JH) has the nerve to tell me to my face that it is the 1st time that he hears about the slow Internet speed - sigh His bad faith was exposed right there and then when another guest who was also at the front desk overhears the conversation and jumps in to complain how bad the Internet service is throughout the hotel. The team is unprofessional, unfriendly, not trained, totally overwhelmed. Customer satisfaction is not in their job description: “don't ask me anything, I just work here” attitude is what you get. Certainly not the level of service you might expect from a 4 star hotel, Not even close ! High turnover, bad management, this is not a happy place to work nor check in. Do yourself a service and stay somewhere else.

This worn out hotel they call a luxury hotel is very far from it. The front desk was to just sum it up, unwelcoming. You know the refreshing fountain of water with lemons, and cups, well, they don't have that. Don't ask for water either.... They take a $400 deposit upon arrival, and kept our deposit and claimed a stain on the sheet. Here's their furniture in this $355 a night hotel suite, stained up, worn out, and outdated, my husband and I had to put a towel down just to sit! Their 24 hour room service is not true, and good luck calling room service, no one answers, EVER, i had to call down to the front desk, that has the number they actually answer, front desk calls me back to tell me to wait by the phone, they will call. I finally put my order in, after explaining what a carafe is, when i asked if the coffee is served in it, he said yes, then said i needed 2 cups with it. Expecting a cart, I get a knock at the door, and a man gives me "an uber bag" of food, and tiny paper cups of coffee, a breakfast burrito and eggs Benedict in a plastic container, plastic silverware, and a bill just over $90.00 (which honestly i wouldn't have questioned if this was served correctly) I spoke to one of the managers about this, his explanation started out...."because of covid".... they give people their food in a paper bag... I asked him how does that make sense, since I ate in their restaurant the night before, others were there eating, and we all had dishware. It was obvious it was out of nothing but pure laziness, and severe lack of any hospitality and justified with a poor excuse. This hotel will never see another dime from me, the following are photos of their worn out room, from carpet, curtains, severely stained and worn out furniture. This is in room #1402

Cool hotel and the price is not bad. The pool area is quite nice and so is the fitness center, although they need to ditch the Peloton and get a stationary bike that works. The biggest problem this place has, and the reason my review is not better, is that it's extremely difficult to get breakfast. The upstairs restaurant has one waiter and I sat there for 15 minutes without any acknowledgment I left for the downstairs café. All they have is smoothies, bagels, And convenience store sandwiches I was going to order the smoothie, but they were out of strawberries and the two bananas they had left were completely brown and bruised.

The front desk staff were rude. Water was out for 12+ hours and hot water for 14 yet when we asked for a late checkout they said it would cost 50 usd for anything beyond 3p minutes. I find it interesting that they expect. Guests to be beyond accommodating for not being able to shower or use water yet they can't exhibit any grace on their side. When I asked the front desk about this, the staff had a very very negative attitude. Sad if hotel angeleno wpuld like to be taken seriously for its hoapitality. Beyond that, the rooms are quite small and oddly appointed. However the restaurant staff were very kind and the views beautiful.

I stayed here for two days and my experience was horrible. The front desk ladies are extremely disrespectful. The food is super expensive and tastes horrible. Don't use the valet parking and don't leave any valuables. I had around 100 dollars that I use for coffee in the middle compartment and they stole it. They also stole my mini cologne. Went to the front desk to complain, they told me I wasn't supposed to leave anything valuable. The vallet parking is super expensive and the hotel is out dated. They charge me 495 for the room and an extra 500 for deposit.

Older hotel, with new finishes. Pool and work out room are basic. Only one elevator works leading to 15 minute waits just to get to your room. Hotel cafe is never open, and only one server working when it is. Staff is hot or miss in attitude. The only restaurant on site has fantastic food but the prices are rediculpua even for LA/edge of Brentwood standards. Left underwhelmed.

Lovely location (Brentwood/Nr Beverly Hills) - central for sightseeing/ travellers. Rooms nice & modern. Lovely roof terrace. Car park attendants rather over zealous - cannot park your own car & $40 per night!!!! Be warned.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. You are correct, valet parking is the only option available on our property. We have recently researched the market, and this rate is on par with our counterparts in the area. We hope that you otherwise enjoyed your stay with us, providing top notch hospitality, is one of our top priorities. We hope to see you again the next time your travels bring you to the Los Angeles area. Jennifer Southern Front Office Manager

The Angeleno is a very unique property located immediately adjacent to the freeway. This is both a hindrance and a help. It makes it convenient and easy to get to from most directions. However on the flip side the freeway in question is one of LA’s most infamous and congested so there is consistent noise. Location is very convenient for the Getty and also for Westwood. On arrival in our hire car we were immediately approached by the valet and left feeling extremely pressured to hurry up out of our car. We did not feel any particular warmth of welcome. No offer of assistance with our bags was offered. Once inside the property we were promptly checked in and proceeded to our room on one of the higher floors. The Room was well decorated, clean and comfortable. The centrepiece was an oversized double bed which was perfectly comfortable. The bathroom was well designed with a large shower. Water pressure wasn’t particularly strong. The room also benefitted from a small balcony but as we were directly facing the freeway this was unusable due to the noise. Even with the balcony door closed a residual noise from the freeway did leak through. Fortunately we are both deep sleepers. Light sleepers may struggle with this. Related to noise we also did find that noises from other rooms did leak through to our room particularly flushing noises. Outside the room we absolutely loved the pool and small gym area. The pool is on the opposite side to the freeway and so is relatively quiet and peaceful. Also on the ground floor is a small coffee shop which is very convenient. The service in this coffee shop was hit and miss with one particularly bad tempered individual who gave the impression of hating us or her job (or both). As others have mentioned the big issue with this property is the mandatory valet parking. I would understand if this property had a shortage of available space but this isn’t the case. They have a huge parking lot. You are forced to pay $50 per day plus the expected tips for the pleasure of a surly valet driving your car less than 20 metres to one of the plethora of spaces. We felt that this was just a stealth tax. We are not adverse to paying a car park fee but the inconvenience and surliness of the valets in this property really left a bad taste. Overall a mostly good property. There are definitely a few issues but for the price it is a good choice

Booked here at the Angeleno for what we thought was a fair reasonable price on our way through from Las Vegas to San Francisco. We were then stunned to be confronted by the grim surly parking police on our arrival, and to read the signs compulsory valet parking at 40 💵 a night! where was that mentioned when we booked? Now don’t get me wrong, everyone has to make a buck but, this is not good. And if there’s no way round this then for heavens sake, there’s three valets in attendance and they don’t even have the good grace to help you with your luggage, or get the luggage carts from reception etc etc, if you’re going to hold guests to ransoms then offer something of value. The parking lot is massive and right next door to the hotel, most are perfectly capable of parking their own car. It’s a shame because that’s all you can remember for staying at this hotel, and to be fair the rooms are, good, service fair etc etc.
