Well, the rooms were spacious and clean. It is an older hotel, but is kept up very well. It is just a block to Hollywood Blvd. So there is a lot to do and see within walking distance. The downside is there are no elevators. So if you have much luggage or can't lift much this will be a problem....

Great location, close to sunset boulevard and all the Hollywood sights. The Hotel has great Deco charm if you are a fan of the era. The real plus is the friendly, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble!! Would definitely stay again.

Loved this hotel for our family vacation! Brought my two daughters to LA for a vacation. Clean rooms. Wonderful staff! Perfect location for public transportation. We took the bus to Warner Bros. tour, and The Grove. We took the subway to Santa Monica and Universal CityWalk. Staff helped us navigate each day. Loved walking to the mall area and The...

The hotel is in a great location to go see the sights on Hollywood Blvd. The staff is also very friendly and professional. However, the rooms are extremely dated, and the price is high (but the room was very clean). I felt I could have stayed a few miles away, and parked the rental car in a garage near Hollywood...

LA was our final stop in America after visiting a couple of other cities. This hotel is in a really good location. Very clean and staff friendly. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin, we had some very inconsiderate neighbours who woke us up stupidly early every morning laughing, stomping around and talking very loudly. If you want a good nights...

LOVED IT. I lived in L.A. for years and never knew of this quiet little dead end street in the heart of Hollywood. Its between the Dolby Theater (Academy Awards) and the Magic Castle. And somehow, it is QUIET! It's a vintage property, but very well kept which equals charming! Very clean, spacious room, with kitchenette, all amenities, and very...

Stayed at this hotel last week for one night, and am happy with this choice for an overnight stay in Hollywood. The hotel is well located in a quiet street and close enough to many attractions. My long haul flight from Australia arrived at LAX at 630am, and I decided to head straight to the hotel to try for the...

The first thing worth noting here is that the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed in a pleasing and inviting manner. At one point we needed to know our luggage weight for the airlines and they offered luggage scales. I cannot fault the service here at all. Alben in particular was an...

We arrived early and hoped for early check-in so that we could begin our Hollywood touring - since we were limited on time to do so. At the time, early check-in was not available because no one had checked out yet and there needed to be the added time for cleaning. Not only were we allowed to drop off our...

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
