This is small hotel - decorated art nouveau style - in an excellent location just behind Hollywood & Highland. Though it is in such a busy location, the street itself was quiet and felt safe.

Complimentary breakfast is served each morning in a small dining space - bread and bagels, cereal, coffee and tea, and fruit.

Staff were friendly and helpful, able to help with questions.

We had a 2 king bed room which consisted of 2 king size beds in separate rooms; there was also a kitchen and dining table set. Very roomy and well furnished, with a flat screen tv in each room.

There is coin operated laundry services available.

We would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed 3 nights and wished we stayed longer!

Its really a motel style hotel. Very art nouveau in appearance which is as really nice & it had been refurbished recently so lovely and clean. Breakfast was bagels & waffles, enough to get you going for the day & you could make yourself a hot drink any time of day. Environmentally friendly is not a thought as they are still using polystyrene cups & everything is single use plastic. Honestly charge a couple of dollars more per room and get recycling plates & cups please.
The room was massive, 2 giant beds, dining table, dressing room… it was bigger than my flat in London ;)
Bed was comfy, but tiny square pillows are weird. Bathroom is dated but functional and was clean, there were products provided too. Parking is $15pn which I thought was reasonable and the location is great for the sights of LA, there’s also a metro station that makes it easy to get around.
The only down side to this hotel is the lack of sound insulation. You can hear everything in the room next door or in the corridor. This is is common problem in the US, but if you are a light sleeper your going to need heat plugs.
We live in London so are used to noise so it didn’t bother us 2 much. I would stay here again

Value for the money! The location is great if you want to stay close to Hollywood Boulevard (~5 min walk). If you don’t mind walking West Hollywood and even Beverly Hills is within a walking distance (~5km). We got a room with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen which was very convenient. Car parking was relatively cheap ($15/night). Someone scratched our car during the night but staff was very helpful to sort things out (the parking lot was quite small and crowded). Breakfast was carb-oriented with bagels, cereal, bread and waffles so no protein options, fruits or vegetables but it was free.

The only problem in the room was bad sound insulation, not from the street but from the lobby. Also, the heater was very loud so we had to turn it off at night making the room very cold.

Overall, we were very happy with the stay and would probably stay here again!

A well situated budget hotel in a quiet cul de sac just off Hollywood Boulevard - a quick shortcut through a Mall and you’ll be right into the heart of the Boulevard!

This hotel offers large clean rooms with sufficient space to ‘spread out’:

Staff are among the friendliest and most helpful I’ve ever come across; advice on travel/dining etc willingly given:

The buffet breakfast should be sufficient for most tastes (try the waffles and syrup!):

I’d definitely stay here again if visiting LA:

My adult daughter & I stayed here for 4 nights , the room had 2 queen sized beds ,a little seated area with fridge & microwave, & bathroom with bath and over head shower . Now yes it may have needed a wee update regarding the decor but .The beds were so comfortable the room was more than adequate size wise and the staff were absolutely amazing now I hope I've his name right Abi on the desk was so polite , helpful , and extremely kind providing us with umbrellas & Patricia the lady who served us breakfast well she was amazing running around seeing to us and the other guests there was nothing she wouldn't do for you she was and is a wee gem she arrived with Birthday cake for my daughter she seriously was the best she made our stay amazing. The location was great down the street 30 feet head through the tunnel and your in the shopping mall and walk through the mall and your out in front of the Chinese Threatre Walk of fame etc and right beside the tour bus stop honestly you can't go wrong and you won't be disappointed with your stay at this hotel 🌟👍.

I don't normally write reviews but I had to in this case - we had such a lovely stay at this hotel. From the location which couldn't have been more perfect for doing the main Hollywood attractions by foot, other attractions were a short drive away, the advantage of a car park, clean and nice reception area and rooms - to all the staff we encountered who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It really did add to the whole trip. Especially the reception staff who couldn't have done more, to the bubbly lady at breakfast who apart from making delicious waffles and making sure everyone had plenty to eat and drink, made us smile. Having the breakfast on site really helps start the day right. Thanks.

Overall the experience we had staying here was positive. The staff we very helpful, particularly Angel. The room we stayed in was nice and clean. The location of the hotel was very good and central to all the touristy sites, literally one block from Hollywood Blvd, yet quiet.

The only fly in the ointment was the breakfast set up. It is a very small area, and you only got waffles/ bagels and some tinned fruit. There was a big queue in the mornings in reception which would make any of the rooms located on the ground level, probably noisy. I would suggest going out for brekky.

However there are two members of staff who assist guests with breakfast and both of them were very helpful.

I suggest a room away from the breakfast area or on L2.

I would recommend staying here because of its central location + off street parking which was at a reasonable rate. Thank you to all the staff who made the stay memorable.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Overall we found it to be a great value for the area. A very short walk to Hollywood Boulevard and all the tourist attractions in that area. Yet it's on a quiet side street which cuts the noise and traffic. The entire staff was very nice and helpful, especially the woman who worked the desk at night. They allowed us to stay 2 hours past the check out time (with no charge) which helped a lot. The continental breakfast could use a couple extra items (possibly some yogurt, fresh fruit and less sugary cereal) and the WiFi does not work well. But other than that, it was great. Would definitely stay here again if we need this location.

The rooms are nice and large, and the beds are comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite-type room without even asking and were so happy.
The location is perfect as it is just "behind" Hollywood boulevard, so it is quiet yet very close (2-minute walk) to the center of Hollywood boulevard.
The staff was so friendly, including the hosts at the front as well as the lady helping out during breakfast. Will definitely choose this hotel again whenever I am back in Hollywood.

If you read my other reviews, you’ll see that I typically stay in pricier hotels - This hotel breaks the mold. Don’t overlook it because it’s inexpensive in a pricey location. It has charm and exemplary service from house keeping through management. Patricia, who tends the free Continental breakfast, personally acquired gluten-free bread for me, at her own insistence. She knows everyone’s preference after their first morning and remembers on everyday after. The Deco styling and open, sky-lit hallways call to mind South Beach. The rooms are large and appropriately appointed. Not fancy, and art work could be updated, but having all the space and great care makes up for it. Walkable to Hollywood Blvd and local Hollywood points of interest. I plan to return!

The Red Line will take you from Hollywood and Highland to Universal Studios. For Griffith Park, you'd probably be better served by a rideshare.
