The Sheraton Universal has just completed a $25 million renovation. The extensive renovation encompassed a complete refurbishment of the hotel’s 461 guest rooms and suites in order to create a modern, sleek, minimalist ambiance in a soft warm palette encompassing camel tones with touches of yellow and gray. Additionally, the lobby was completely renovated with new furnishings in shades of gray, purple, camel, and orange. The California’s Restaurant had a redo of its floor and wall coverings as well as fabrics. The excitement of Southern California awaits you at Sheraton Universal Hotel, where we roll out the red carpet to make you feel at home. Situated next to Universal Studios Hollywood, our hotel plays host to musicians, actors and other entertainment industry stars; the Hollywood Bowl is just two miles away, and downtown Los Angeles is within easy reach via the Red Line Subway. Sample flavorful dishes at California's, our on-site restaurant, a vodka cocktail at In the Mix.

We've stayed here on several occasions and we truly enjoy it. I want to comment particularly upon the outstanding customer service that Natalie Kemp provided to us before our scheduled stay. She really went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. I've stayed at many

Full disclosure: I am a professional history nerd, so any hotel that manages to provide modern amenities with a retro feel will instantly go up a couple of notches in my regard. The Sheraton Universal nailed the blend of historical Hollywood glamour with updated, modern

We’ve actually stayed twice now but I forgot to review the first time. Comfortable beds, good sized rooms, convenient for the park. Some of the staff are lovely (valet, concierge, porter were all great) but the two desk staff we spoke to were a bit huffy. Seem to prefer guests

First time staying here, wanted to be close to Universal Studios. Arrived about 11:30 am and the room we were given was below ground, “first floor”. Like a box, though very nice decor. Couldn’t handle and asked to wait for something higher up, after normal 3:00 checkin time.

Online is the best option. Our family splurged a couple years ago and went with the VIP. Yes, it was really pricey, but we don't regret it. Had the best time, got to go on every ride and never had to wait in line. We figured we were going to pay a lot of money for the park anyway, and it was a one-time family event. We had never been before then, and we may not get to go back for years to come. The kids will never forget the great memories from our day there. My kids made fun of me, I had to close my eyes on the ride in the castle...scary stuff in there!!! Have fun! Try the warm butter beer on a cold day (or night).

I'll do better, I have VIDEO. I stayed there this past November. They won't allow video links here...so just search YouTube: Sheraton Universal City – Los Angeles (Review). Stay at The Hilton right next door. Comparatively same price – FAR better quality.

Does this hotel do transport to Disney and to the beach
Only to Universal, there are bus tours that may offer transportation to Disneyland but can be pricey. I would suggest renting a car a couple of days if possible or Uber
