The hotel is nice and we spent $5 per night for car parking, which is great for LA. The surrounding area is not great, I have to say. Staff at the hotel is very nice and attentive. The breakfast was good and the wi-fi connection too.
I booked this hotel without really researching it and when it was a day before my stay I wanted to know the adress and suddenly got overwhelmed with bad reviews. I got a little scared but my reservation couldn't be cancelled anymore so I just went anyway. I didnt regret it! My room was brand new, looked and smelled great! (Yes smelled, the other rooms I've had in LA smelled nasty for some reason). The shower was a beautiful glass shower, big tv, nice big mirrors and the bed was comfortable and clean. So basically the room was perfect. The only thing that wasnt great was the breakfast. When I went to get breakfast the only thing there was coffee and some apples and bananas. The neighbourhood wasnt too great either, but this was fine for me cause I had a car and didnt walk around the area anyways. There is a lot of parking space which is great. Mind you, you do have to pay per day and per car. That wasnt stated so clearly on the website but it's a thing most hotels in LA do but just keep it in mind. Would stay again! I had room nymber 123, that was a nice one so you can ask for that one ;-) …
I thought I checked into the wrong hotel. The photos on the website are of sleek, beautiful, modern rooms with a stunning city view. From their own website, I thought I would be staying in a chic hotel with "boutique charm". My room was comfortable enough, but the furniture looked like it was made from recycled pallets and my view was of a construction shed in a parking lot.. It's okay if that's what you think you're signing up for, but why the deceptive photos on the website? The bed was comfortable, the room was okay clean, the hallway was dirty, and I had several spiders in the room. No coffee pot in the room. The website said the rooms have a safe, but mine did not. Staff was friendly. The breakfast does NOT live up to the photos on the website, either, but the coffee was good. The price was good compared with surrounding hotels, and parking was plentiful in their lot. Well lit at night, which is good considering the surrounding block looked like a homeless tent city when I drove in. Very alarming looking neighborhood, although two blocks away it seems like a nicer family neighborhood. I wish them well, they just need to put realistic photos on the website. I did not appreciate what seemed like bait and switch to me.…
This place is very dirty, expensive, in a bad area and they refused to cancel the reservation months prior to our arrival ! We did a reservation during E3 through Agoda, we realized couple months before attending that the price way too high (same as Marriott) we tried to cancel and they refused ! The hotel was saying it's agoda fault, agoda was saying it's a third party problem. Anyway we went there, the place was very dirty ! The neighborhood is dangerous, the room next to us had a hooker who left in the middle of the night, someone tried to steal a car next to the hotel and the alarm as rang for hours by night!! Avoid this place at all costs.
We stayed here for 10 nights for a couples holiday and found the hotel to be better than what we were expecting considering the other reviews. We didn't have a car so used the metro to go everywhere around L.A and had no problems, the area isn't the best but I wouldn't say it was dangerous either, there are bus stops outside the hotel to go to downtown or a 20min walk the metro is a 10min walk away, we found the public transport system excellent compared to the UK. We stayed in a renovated room on the 3rd floor, we had everything we needed, excellent shower, fridge, hairdryer, iron and USB plugs. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served at half 6 and consisted of bagels, pastries, bread, yogurts, boiled eggs, cereal, waffles you can make yourself, fruit and hot and cold drinks. We found this to be reasonable considering the budget price. If we were in L.A again we would definitely consider staying here again.…
