We stayed at The Kinney for two nights so we could spend some time in the Venice Beach area... Hotels on the boardwalk etc were much more expensive and the beach was only a short walk away... We also easily caught an Uber to Santa Monica one evening... It was also close to LAX which meant we could easily pick up a hire car for the rest of our trip when we had finished in L.A. We booked a suite so that our daughter could stay on the sofa bed in the living area and we could have a separate bedroom... There was a small gym which we used and an absolutely tiny pool, more a plunge pool than a swimming pool as it was actually so small it was impossible to swim in... It was good value for the area and allowed us to have a nice few days on the beach both in Venice and Santa Monica, but we wouldn’t necessarily rush back...
