Alex is great. He truly works very hard and goes the extra mile to make sure all guests are completely satisfied. He took great care of us each time we stayed there. We've stayed there a couple of times. This boutique hotel is very charming. Each room has its own separate design with Hollywood glam.

Hotel's Favorite
Our recent experience at the Westin Bonaventure in LA was a positive one; the rooms are comfortable the hotel us well located and the front desk staff and other staff are attentive. However, this review is designed to give special accolades to the valet parking staff - we were on our way to a Dodgers baseball game and our car wouldn’t start and the head of the valet staff had a personal portable charger which he used to jump our car and he gave it to us to take to the game in case it didn’t start after the game – which it didn’t! When we returned we had to deal with two separate visits by AAA and the valet staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful to us. The problem was not resolved until the next morning and I am very grateful that the valet staff cared enough to help us resolve this difficult problem – they were awesome and they are always the unsung heroes in a hotel when you have a problem with your car. Special kudos go to Juan for trusting us with his charger but also to Jerry who was also very helpful.

I have stayed at this location before. This time I booked via travel agent. I was told before booking that I would still be able to receive rewards. At check-in I checked that my rewards number was attached to my stay. We booked 2 rooms. After the stay my rewards are not on my account. I contact hotel and travel agent neither are of use. The hotel will not give me my receipt to call corporate because they are saying it belongs to travel agent. Travel agent claims hotel has not sent them the receipt. Really should not be this difficult to receive rewards. Well I guess I will just go back to booking at Hilton again. And we have at least 10 more multi room weekend visits planned.

Hotel is old and outdated. This place needs to have a major make over. Staff at the hotel were very pleasant. The surrounding area has a lot of other high end hotels where you can enjoy the view (since you are unable to go to the revolving bar on top of the hotel; we were informed the bar closed during the COVID 19 pandemic). Also you need to be aware of your surroundings around this hotel, since the are homeless encampments surrounding the hotel.

I had a perfectly fine two night stay at the Westin in downtown LA. The building was probably the height of modernity and future design when first built. It has been renovated since. My room in one of the four towers was spacious, clean, and we'll maintained. There was a bit of external noise from close by freeway but it didn't really impact my sleep. Staff were super great. I would stay again.

Rooms - Noisy - you can hear conversations from neighbors in the bathroom vents. - Walls are pretty thick actually, but still heard the music bass from my neighbors partying into the night. Clientele - This is a party hotel; wedding central so people are up at all hours. - This is LA proper so random transient people can enter and roam without any security. The surrounding area has random people loitering or hanging out by the subway entrance and or nearby bridges - It does not feel safe walking around at night. Parking - Valet was full so I was told to self park. Valet was not clear that self park was a third party lot nearby that appears closed with its gates closed. It was super confusing altogether and the hotel should give a map or instructions to clearly help guests park there cars especially since LA streets can be confusing. - I also had to call the valet to bring my bags to my room Front desk - Super long line at check in. 1 worker for Bonvoy and 2 for non Bonvoy which made no sense. - Processing was super slow. Employee could not find my reservation with my ID which was alarming in the way it was communicated. Had to ask me to locate my reservation number and they found it but no apology whatsoever. Restaurant - Had breakfast at the Lakeview Bistro. Was a good buffet but not worth $80 for 2 adults and 2 children (who barely eat anything)

The hotel is maintained in the common areas, and the staff are great, we felt safe staying there. However I do have some comments: Rooms are a little dated and the AC units are extremely loud, while they had toiletries every bottle: shampoo conditioner were empty so had to wash my hair with body wash since I had already gotten my hair wet, the counters in the room by tv were sticky, like they had not been wiped down prior to our arrival The menus at the bar are limited, ordered a lobster bisque, and it didn't have any lobster in it. We valeted and we would call down, and the valet didn't bring the car to us, since I saw it was parked in one of the closer stalls we said that we would get it, and he said that's why I didn't bring it.. Um when you valet and pay $49 dollars for parking they should bring it to you. I would more than likely not stay here again, lots of other great hotels nearby.

First stay at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and it was great. From check in to check out everything smooth and professional especially thanks to Manager Frank Asseko. He was very friendly and accommodating , definitely making my trip to the hotel memorable. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and the views and service was amazing. I would definitely visit again .

I am a Marriott Reward Elite member and have never seen anything like that, the hotel front desk agent and her manager are incompetent and rude. I had a confirmed pre-paid reservation for a party of 4 for 3-nights, I had checked in online earlier in the day however when I got to the hotel, they had no 2-bed rooms available. The front desk agent (I think Sakura) said that they had only 1 room available with a single bed, which was not acceptable for a party of 4. When I asked her why would they allow me to book and check in, she had no answer and no apology, she said she will cancel my reservation. When I called the next day to speak to her manager (I think Moria), he said that the hotel had other 1-bed rooms available that she could have offered (but obviously didn't). I told him, I will file a complaint and needed the spelling of his name, and he hung up. What a dump!
