Stayed here for 4 nights at a cost of about £200 a night. For this we received a small room with a view of a brick wall and breakfast was extra, about £15 each if we ate in the hotel canteen, £25 each if we ate in the cafe. It's very trendy but the service is pretty poor, housekeeping wasn't great and maintenance were not helpful with a broken electric blind. It's also very loud and we needed to request a room which wasn't facing the six lanes of traffic - even then we needed earplugs as there is a club on site too. The area is pretty strange, not much there other than strip malls. Taxis to Hollywood, Venice Beach and Downtown took at least 20 minutes. All in all definitely not worth the expense.
This hotel deserves 5 stars due to their customer service. This is my second stay and I would say it's all because of the incredible customer service I have received. Specifically from the gentleman at the front desk named Jereme. Such a delightful check in experience. He made me feel like I was coming home after a long trip being greeted with open arms and going over the top. Top tier customer service from this individual. It is now my second time staying and I am having the same experience. Thank you The Line for employing such prized individuals. A gal named Suzy was very accommodating when some supplies took a bit too long to receive. Suzy went out of her way to change my experience and made the entire situation painlessly enjoyable. She was of utmost care and service. I also want to thank Amanda and Ariel for helping me with such a great booking experience. They were beyond friendly and took the measures to ensure I was receiving the best price, service and care. Aside from the most important part.. customer service, the hotel is beautiful. The pool and restaurant is gorgeous and the food is amazing. The coffee shop (Alfreds) is nothing short of spectacular when it comes to matcha or coffee and baked goods. I would recommend staying here as the rooms are so beautiful, trendy and accommodating on all levels of intimacy, fun and pleasure. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience nothing short of excellent.…
My absolute favorite place to stay in LA. Perfect atmosphere and pets are allowed and loved! Lee at the pool was AMAZING. Thanks for the great stay and can’t wait to return soon!!! I can’t wait to sample more of that mini fridge wine lol.
Rooms are more sparse and contemporary. No hot water kettle in the room, nor tea bags. Lobby gets crazy loud in the evenings but even at the fourth floor, we couldn’t hear a thing. Staff were responsive to requests - especially when the AC would become overly hot. Chose location for proximity to The Wiltern.
Just recently had a great stay - young, vibrant, modern, industrial. Rooms are a bit small but tastefully decorated with floor to ceiling windows. Thought the bathroom could be updated a little with some better lighting but everything worked fine. Alfred’s in lobby - great coffee. Restaurant had good cocktails and tasty food in a beautiful setting. Close to really good restaurants in koreatown. Poketo outpost store in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.
