The old man at the desk is so rude and horrible. There was a lady and some others that were waiting for a tour and I just happened to over here when I came downstairs it was sad. I thought he was only rude to me but he is rude and the young man that was there sitting with him was the same. I actually got my stuff and checked out earlier.
PROS - about a 5 minute walk from Union Station. (look for huge sign behind Chevron station) - easy checkin/checkout - spacious room with clean bed and bath linens - free working WiFi - plenty of hot water - water-conserving toilet - functioning ice machine with plenty of ice - convenience store, tacqueria and Subway shop all located steps away CONS: - NO COFFEE MAKER IN ROOM (although 24 hr coffee available in lobby it’s not the same) - minimal food choice for breakfast - broken soda machine
The room is spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. The continental breakfast was decent, more of a bite to eat before heading out for an actual breakfast but my favorite aspect is that it is located right next to the Historic Pueblo of Los Angeles! Would absolutely return!
Budget friendly hotel in Downtown LA. Very convenient for Union Station (10-15 minute walk or €7 uber) Close to the historic Pueblo and Chinatown, both nice for a wander & cheap souvenirs. Definitely worth trying a French dipped sandwich from Phillippes at the end of the block. Room was basic but clean & comfortable which is just what you'd expect from a budget hotel. Towels are teeny tiny! I am not a big girl & needed 2 to dry me and a hand towel for my very short hair. If I'd been sharing we'd have run out of towels very quickly! Also hung my towels to dry & use again but were replaced without asking and lots of single use plastics in the room make this a very unenvironmentally friendly stay. The maids were very friendly (despite my terrible Spanish!) but the receptionists both at check in and out barely looked at me and you'd think a smile would break their faces! Overall, good for a night or two if you just want a clean room to crash in but not the kind if place you'd want to spend more time.…
I live in NC and book this hotel because it is closest to union train station. It is a great location, but it is poorly maintained! I paid 189 per night. Furniture is run down carpet is horrific! I would not recommend this location. Sorry we stayed here fearful of bugs 🐜
