Stayed here for a night after spending the afternoon hiking the Hollywood trail. Check in was quick, easy. Chris was awesome and later provided great dinner recommendations. Upon checking into the first room (King room) on the fourteenth floor, we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes/weed. Went back down to front desk and got a new room (King room) located on the fifteenth floor. The cigarette/weed smell was faint. There were handprints on the window, a small stain on the bed sheet and a couple of leftover drinks from the previous guest in the mini fridge. Not to mention, the body wash in the shower had a few squirts left in it. Totally unimpressed, especially with this “pandemic” causing everybody to be overly consciousness about cleanliness. With the occupancy rate lower than usual, I would think housekeeping would do a much better job at making sure each room is adequately cleaned before putting the room back into inventory. Advised front desks staff again about the issues with the second room. They informed me they would sent housekeeping up and follow up with me. Housekeeping was quick to respond and took care of the aforementioned issues. Front desk associate who told me he would follow up with me never did. Mediocre property at best. Pool needed some TLC as well. Property had a strong odor of marijuana throughout its hallways. So as not not end on a sour note... aside from Chris being great, the valet staff was solid. Also, the views from the room were super cool (facing Grand Ave). …
We had originally planned to stay two nights. Unfortunately, during the second night, I became ill and was admitted to a nearby hospital. We ended up extending our stay for four additional nights. The front desk staff were very accommodating each time my husband asked to stay another night. The courtesy car drivers were helpful and drove him back and forth to the hospital each day, saving him much stress. One of the maids even wrote me a note hoping I would feel better soon. All in all, everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful. Now for the "regular" review - the hotel itself is in a great location. It's easy walking distance to The Broad Museum, MOCA, Disney Hall and the Music Center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The sheets and towels were luxurious. If you are hungry, the breakfasts in the hotel restaurant are great. If you are not so hungry, there are cafes in the plaza for a lighter meal during the week. A great place to stay in downtown LA.…
Booked reservation through Hotwire.com, amount paid already included taxes but when checked out they added additional taxes and overcharges me for an additional day. It took a couple of days to reverse the additional day they charged me withholding payment.
I stayed at the Omni for a conference and it was a lovely experience. The location was excellent with proximity to great dining options and museums. The biggest asset of the hotel is its staff. I interacted with a number of different staff members in a variety of positions, and everyone was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and professional. It was a stand-out and memorable experience because of this. I would recommend staying here if the location is convenient, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again based on my experience.
We were looking for a centrally located DTLA hotel and were impressed with what we read about the Omni Los Angeles. From the valet arrival and front desk welcome (Chris is the man!) to our beautiful corner room on the 17th floor (thank you Susan G. for the delicious welcome gift), the Omni proved to be the perfect choice! The staff is very accommodating and the twice daily housekeeping was some of the best I've seen. The hotel is located in the center of everything...We were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants and museums...And Disney Hall is a block away! If you are looking for a hotel in DTLA...The Omni Los Angeles should be at the top of your list!
