I don't understand the many critical reviews of this hotel. It was a safe 15 minute walk night or day from the Metro (underground rail) station at 7th Street and Metro Center, a 50 minute ride from Aviation station on the Metro Green (rail) line, changing to another line at Willowbrook. The staff were friendly with a lady allowing me... More

We were booked ahead for a 5 night stay here. Based on the available pictures online, it looked nice. There was a big difference from the online pics and reality. I didn't mind the decor, but dark grey/black trim would not be a first choice for a hotel room. The room, closet (lacking hangars) and bathroom were small (nice shower... More

Great place , had a pleasant stay. Rooms are smaller than normal but newly renovated which made up for it! Valet attendants were very courteous and great about suggesting places. May not want to walk around alone at night but cabs and uber can get you anywhere without any problems. I would definitely stay there again. Once the renovations are... More

I reached LA via a drive from Vegas. I was travelling with my Wife. After a long Drive all I wanted was a Good Night's Sleep. We checked In at the Hotel , late night. Gabriel gave us the Room Key. The room ended before it could even begin. I have never seen such a small room in any hotel... More

It is disappointing that the historical theme can not take for a nice place! in its place is an uncomfortable and dreary space! minimum comfort, salvageable beds. expensive for what you get, the bathroom is too small is not remodeled, how bad makeup!

Had to book at the Mayfair at the last minute while attending a convention in Los Angeles. The check-in was smooth but very cramped because the magnificent lobby as shown on their website is closed off for renovation. Elevator service was slow and the cars are also beat up while renovation goes forward. The room I had was smallish and... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while doing a bit of sightseeing. I found the customer service really good, the room was clean with a powerful shower which I always love. I had rented a car, which costs $30 for a full day valet service. The valet guys are really friendly and nice. I don't know much about the immediate... More

I was hesitant to stay here at first based on all the negative reviews but it was fine. The hotel is under construction of course it's not shiny and quiet. It's not luxury hotel but it is a fair price for the location. Will probably stay here again.

Really not at all what the pictures look like, the hotel from the outside is awful, the surrounding scary even, very tough area....now the rooms are ok and you get descent sleep and probably value for money but very different from what they promote on their web site....watch out for the negative surprise. Staff is nice however and trying their... More
