We stayed at the W while visiting our son in the UCLA transplant department. We felt we overpaid as the rooms need to be upgraded, the hot water was not constant, the mini bar was a total rip off, the toilet didn't flush properly, and on and on. The lobby was being worked on so you had to check in... More

While my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to LA, the stay at W Beverly Hills was far less than expectations. First, the place needs major renovations to regain the prestige of a W establishment( I suppose attributed to the fact that it is the original flagship). The room's decor wasn't overly exciting or as posh as I... More

Dirty, bad service, do not even clean a room when I requested. The bar downstairs is too loud. There is unpleasant smells in elevators. This hotel is not 4 or 5 star hotel. My feeling is I am staying in the motel. The water Faucet leaks when I turn it on. The electric outlet is broken that I could see... More

Stayed here numerous times while on business, and I've pretty much had it with this hotel. Staff is very friendly, but the rooms are tired, and need upgrading. On my most recent visit, we were "upgraded" to a suite, but it was no upgrade at all. At check-in I had to request a front facing room because if you dont,... More

I had been at Ronald Reagan hospital for hours waiting for my husband to have surgery. When I arrived at the hotel, I was very impressed by the kind, accommodating, generous reception. I would like to personally thank James for his considerate and genuine hospitality. He went out of way to make me feel comfortable while my husband was in... More

The "W" Hotel, known across the globe as " the best of the best". North LA, not the case. Where do I begin? Nestled in the suburbanites of West Ridge Village. Not very appealing from the exterior but a very upbeat contemporary interior. Unfortunately the room was; 1) No drawers for clothes 2) Absolutely no counter space in bathroom 3)... More

Typical W Hotel operation: it's an old hotel tarted up with trinkets. The bathrooms are old, fit and finish is on par with 2 star hotels and the staff is so busy trying to be cool that they're unprofessional. To wit, when I checked in at 5:00pm, I was told my room wasn't already "so you'll have to wait". If... More

Spent nearly 4 weeks at this hotel. It was fine apart from internet - devastatingly slow and cumbersome and hot water - intermittent. Apart from that it was fine. A bit tired but apparently renovations are ongoing. Staff really nice throughout. Valet parking very expensive

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Southern California. We spent 2 nights at W near Beverly Hills. We so glad we did. Juan at the reception desk treated us to an upgrade in recognition of our anniversary. To our amazement he remembered us by name the next evening when we happen to see him on... More

I'll have to start by saying that I was I had to stay here for business for 6 nights- so off the bat, this is was not my first choice. However, while it's classic W- dark, clubby and a little over the top, it was a perfectly fine stay. Clean room, spacious and nice hotel staff. I had room 1211... More
