Wonderful hotel! large room with all amenities included & very comfortable beds! Great location, walking distance to hollywood blvd & public transportation links! recommend the diner for breakfast too! - no complaints :)
Found this hotel in the Moon travel guide. Traveled to the area with my family to see the outdoor sights in the area. Easy parking was a great surprise. Room was comfortable for the four of us. First room smelled of smoke, but we were given another room immediately. Enjoyed the Hollywood memorabilia in the room and hallways - helped set the tone for our touristy trip. Hotel was quiet and we all got a great night's sleep. Bathroom was huge and the mini-kitchen was also a pleasant surprise! Location was good as the next morning, we were able to leave the car at the hotel, and walk over to the Walk of Fame and the theaters for sight-seeing. Staff was very friendly. Drove up to Griffith Observatory twice because it was so close. Had a great dinner a few blocks east at suggestion of front desk which was a highlight of the trip too.…
The room had no furniture other than the beds and the built in nightstand between them - there was nowhere to set anything down except the floor. Other people's rooms had a cabinet under the TV but ours didn't. There was also no fridge in our room. It's a very noisy neighbourhood and we were woken up by people out on the street multiple times each night. The cafe in the lobby had good coffee and good breakfast but had extremely long lines to be seated.
Made booking from Hotels.com app- 29/10- 4 nights. Got confirmation. However, in few hours, saw an email to say rsvn is not confirmed due to cr card. After I sorted my card issued from outside US, tried to look for email- couldn’t find. Had serious issues in my email portal. Hence made a new booking. While en route to LA, @18:52hrs got a call asking for cr card no’s as it was not authorized. So gave new card details assuming it’s from the new hotel. Mistaken identity- because staff didn’t care to identity herself while calling. Within 2hrs, spoke to same staff & explained confusion, the lady was so rude(never experienced from other hotels) simply said we have to charge you one day. And went on to charge $452… at least a charge of $ 150 would be digestible- but not 3 times more. Neither basic courtesy nor basic service oriented ness.…
What a cool hotel ! So much character from an old Hollywood hotel . There are even some really crazy characters who live at the hotel permanently that cause Trouble for the staff which creates another story in itself . Classic American diner in the hotel which gets really busy . Loved the stay and the bed was really comfy . We stayed near the main road side in the proper hotel and it was fine.
BEWARE of false advertisement of this hotel’s rooms. My family booked a 2 queen beds room at this hotel via booking.com for the night of 10/20/22 at the rate of 180$, pleased by the pictures posted by the hotel. Upon arrival, we were told they had one room ready for check in, missing a fridge, or we could wait 20 minutes for a different one. I specifically asked if the room would be the same, but just missing the fridge and was told that yes, it would be, so we took it. Upon entering the room we were appalled to see it looked NOTHING like the beautiful room showed on booking.com. The room we were presented was barely motel-worthy, with an old style carpet rather than vynil floor, two beds without even a frame, and NO OTHER FURNITURE other than an old chair, and an old bedside table. No drawers, no tv stand, no fridge or anything. A tv just hanging on the wall. The bathroom, also being portrayed as beautiful on booking platform, was instead so small that only one person could stand in it at a time, old, and very sad looking. I went back to the reception to find a different receptionist named Keith. Asked to be changed to the room we paid for. I was told that the former receptionist may have lied, and that all the rooms are the same because undergoing renovations. I was also told he had no more vacancies to move us into, and that he could give us 10$ off for the lack of fridge (like that would be the only issue!!!) Of course behind us people kept checking in, and into the same type of room…. Which he just stated he didn’t have anymore. I am still trying to get a resolution from booking.com or a credit card dispute because this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE on behalf of the property and had I known the room looked remotely as bad as it did I would have never accepted to pay 180$ (not even a quarter of that) for one night. False advertisement and rudeness seem to be the way this hotel operates, and while I don’t know how this will end up for us, I want to make sure people BEWARE of this scam and spend their money at a honest facility.…
The Adler was the perfect hotel after a night at the Hollywood Bowl! Close enough for a quick Uber, or, a longer walk. Yes, they need to get more furniture into the rooms, but the beds are comfy, the shower/water pressure is great and having Clark Street diner downstairs is a huge plus for a quick latte/pastry to-go, or a sit-down breakfast…delicious. Quirky, quaint, free parking and nice staff. Loved the photos on the walls. Would definitely stay there again.
We loved this hotel. Rooms were comfortable. Bathroom recently updated with lots of counter space. Conveniently located close to all Hollywood attractions. Big bonus: the Clark street diner downstairs. Awesome and delicious breakfasts. Plus parking for hotel guests. This hotel has recently gone thru done renovations and we found the lobby filled with photos and autographs of old time Hollywood stars charming. Our only criticism was there was nowhere to hang anything on our hotel room. No hooks, hangers or closet
We stayed 3 nights in LA at the Adler with two young children. Overall a fine stay at this hotel, it’s conveniently located in Hollywood, close to the freeway. Parking is free, which is a big plus. Hotel room has a decent size with good beds, the airco was poor and ground mounted (which was quite poor in terms of being extremely cold for people sleeping on the bed next to it). Also there was no room cleaning during our stay, which we maybe could have requested, but still a bit uncommon. Weird thing is that there is a road (hotel only, but still) between the lobby and the building with the rooms, but as on both sides there is a large entrance I definitely did not expect this was a road. Risky with young children so keep this in mind. Overall we appreciated this hotel as a cost effective pick for LA with a good location, but considering the poor airco not a higher rating.…
Many of the previous reviews suggest that this hotel isn’t very good value for money but during my stay this was very different. When we arrived at this greatly located hotel (a five minute walk from the metro station and the walk of fame as well as stunning views of the iconic “Hollywood” landmark sign, I immediately sensed a family friendly and homely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and we were also a little bit early meaning that one of the staff showed us around four different rooms, giving us the option of which one we wanted. This created a more intimate and fun vibe around the hotel. The room is perfect and features a amazingly comfy bed and a spacious bathroom and kitchen. The hotel has recently gone under a renovation (yet to be completed) and a change of ownership from Best Western. The hotel also features a pool with sun beds surrounding it. The hotel also offers an easy taxi service and check in as well. Overall this hotel has been one of my favourites and I will 100% stay again!…
