Overall not a bad hotel, biggest complaint was that they advertised free breakfast and then when we got here they told us it’s been shut down since 2020. So don’t expect any breakfast here!! Also odd smells in the hallways and elevator especially. None of the lights in our room worked either.

Hotel's Favorite
We had a reservation at this hotel this weekend. And chose to book directly for several reasons: 1) Their flexible cancellation policy the day of arrival (which is something we look for since COVID and recent flight disruptions). 2) We find it easier to interact on any issues directly with the hotel than via a third party. 3) Special rates Unfortunately, we were not able to make our flight to LA and needed to cancel our reservation. This is when their customer service was put to the test. I was expecting hassles and maybe a monetary penalty for my cancellation 30mins after the cut off. But to my surprise, the hotel staff at the reservation desk were very accommodating and easy to deal with. They extended the cancellation time allowing us the time we needed to know if we could make our flight to LA and simply asked us to call back and let them know when we knew. This was such peace of mind in an already stressful situation. Thanks to the staff at the desk yesterday!! While we couldn't make it this weekend, we intend to visit LA soon. And the first place we'd look to book is Hotel Hollywood. Tip to all: Book directly with the Hotel!!

Awesome hotel stay - the staff is very responsive and always greeted us with a smile. The rooms were clean and we had a beautiful view of the patio area with relaxing music playing. The pool was clean with fresh towels on every chair , clean bathrooms with staff constantly restocking and picking up old towels - making sure everything looked good. I really liked the security of this hotel - I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the staff were. Shout out to Pil, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would recommend anyone to stay here

I loved the size of our room. It was gated which was a nice safe area to park with a daily parking fee. Be prepared to bring your vehicle information with you during check in. We had a room that did not have an outside door with an added kitchen section. It would have been nice to at least have stools at the bar as we vacationed with family and our room was the largest to host a family get together. It was right across the hotel store on the 1st floor. I was slightly disappointed to hear they did not serve breakfast since Covid shut it down in 2020 as it is now 2023. That was something that the family was looking forward to. Maybe take that off your website as it is false advertisement. My family enjoyed the pool and the garden for a late calm dinner atmosphere for a get together. The little hotel store was super convenient. I loved being able to walk over to grab a midnight snack or drinks. The location was great as there were so many close by places to eat to include: point point joint (located in a little plaza close to a seafood market), thai restaurants, and small local street taco stands. Daniel was the man! From check in to asking questions or requests..he made our stay comfortable and felt like we were at home.

This place is funky for the cost, and not nearly as nice as the photos by a long shot. Funky neighborhood- gross stuff on sidewalks outside hotel. Tooms are tiny. Busy street - noise semi-eclipsed by AC. Hall carpets stained. Bathroom door is gashed. Ceilings low. Vending machines finicky and don't all work properly. Kitchen was shut down during COVID and front desk said they haven't put the effort into passing regulations in order to reopen (it's 2023). NO BREAKFAST. The website has not been updated to reflect this. AFTER you have booked, you might glimpse a mention of this AFTER a list of all the great breakfast items you can no longer get. Have they reduced the price to compensate for this? I don't think so! They have not updated their coronavirus info - emails all still say masks mandatory. Everything costs extra (a LOT extra) - parking ($30+/day), watching a movie, etc. Things you find out only AFTER you've booked. And if you used a third party, you can't cancel.

Just great - our room (balcony outlook over outdoor seating/relaxing area), amenities, pool (with umbrellas and loungers). Pil and his team at reception were very helpful with any queries we had. Close proximity to metro train and buses and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel was clean, bus service in front of hotel, metro one block away. Pool is very nice except they have fake grass and tile which is very hot, you can not walk on it barefoot. We stayed three nights, first night the air conditioning was on, when coming back from a hot muggy day, out room air conditioner was not on, we asked for them to look at, they also asked us if we wanted a fan? After a couple hours they moved us to another room. Same thing happened the next night. When we told them they asked was the blower on in the room, we said yes but it was not blowing cold air. Not too concerned. Not sure if they have problems with there air conditioner or they are just too cheap and turn it on. You pay all this money to stay at a hotel.

Pil is the manager and has excellent customer service and is always smiling and happy to help with any queries you have. He recommended us to go to Santa Monica beach and Venice beach. He told us to purchase a tap card you buy at the metro station and load it with 5 dollars a day. You can use on subway and public transport which we did use a lot . Pil is a credit to the Hollywood hotel and such a hi th level of customer service and made our stay great. All the other staff are friendly but it was Pil who made our stay more enjoyable. I feel bad now for sort of moaning when there was a burst pipe and couldn’t get a shower for a few hours. Not is fault tho and he did keep us updated . Check in was quick and you do have to pay a 200 dollar holding fee for any breakages but we left the room tidy and nothing broken so I’m sure we will get deposit back. Use a credit card tho as if you use your debit card it will come straight out your bank account but not with a credit card .We stayed in room 208 and the room was a nice size and has a balcony. It is situated 22 miles from the airport . We were told it’s not a nice area and there are a lot of homeless people there but not once did they bother us and we didn’t feel unsafe. There isn’t really any pubs mostly just some restaurants. . We spent more time on Santa Monica and Venice beach and also booked a tour. Keep up the good work guys your hotel is really good and I definetly had a good time

All the staff always responded kindly during our stay at the hotel, especially Pil is the best! The bathroom door is not working well and that is the only problem. but the pool is the best place to have time.
