I have stayed here many times before and from being one of the best hotels i have stayed at something just went wrong this time and it was not value for money and it gets me to question what has happened at the hotel. I had several negative experiences, but will keep it short: 1: Pick service from airport I booked a pickup service thru the concierge service to pick us up at LAX. When we arrived he was nowhere to be seen. I spoke to several people at the hotel and the concierge. Still i waited an hour and i took for granted that someone would offer an apology or at least not charge me for the service i did not get. Driver muttered a low "sorry, traffic u know" and no one from the hotel said anything despite me talking with several staff members before arriving. And to make matters worse i was billed the entire amount :) 2: Staff and service I dined at La Culina several times and asked for a booth all the times there, did not get one ONCE. There open booths for entire meals for me. I was whisked of to the side of the restaurant. I found this to be odd. 3: Being seen This is probably just uncertainty from the people working there. First day i visited i was ask for a vaccination pass, which i found odd since i was a guest at the hotel and no one had asked for this when i checked in. What annoyed me was that the fancier dressed people in front of me in the line was not asked. I had to ask if this was necessary since i was staying at the hotel, then i got a table. This repeated itself on the last day of our stay. For breakfast i had to show my vaccination pass. This was my third day staying and i had dined and had drinks in the restaurant four times already. I understand that this can happen, but it does not make you feel as a valued guest. 3: Staff and service 25th of December I had booked a lunch for me and my wife and had again asked for a booth as mentioned above. I did not get one this time either. It was reserved for larger groups. I was sat at a table for two and saw other people that where two getting a booth. I got a table outside by the curtain that was holding the wind outside. There was a draft that made it really cold, asked for another table i waited for 10minutes before being seated next to the pizza oven. Hey! At least it was warm! :) Food was not at a FS level and was overall disapointing. Overall the place does not give a good feeling. I havce stayed here many times and i have loved it before. But the constant none acknowledgement from the staff can actually be hurtfull. I stayed there for the holidays and eating at the restaurants was a more or less non communication and acknowledgedment experience. Maybe im exaggerating but when i left the restaurants no one said anything and when i left the hotel it was the same. I had a proper suite in the hotel, but i have to say that i left the hotel disappointed and with a feeling pretty close to "this guy does not belong here" so we are just going to overlook him and hope he does not come back. And i almost forgot the best part of it all. I emailed them thru a customer survey and wrote all of the above. Did not even get a reply!! I’m stealing this from someone else’s review of a different 5star hotel: The most annoying part of the hotel is that they think they are the greatest hotel in LA. But they don’t realise that empty greetings and words are not what great service is about. The shallowness of the service just makes it even worse.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay. The arrival and departure were fantastic. I enjoyed Culina nightly, and loved the poolside experience (even though it was a little chilly during our stay the experience made it worth it). I did not work out as I normally would have, but the fitness center and spa were certainly gold standard when I checked them out. The shops and front desk service were great; and the decor for the Holiday Season was festive and charming.

Don’t stay here. The rooms are small, dated and tired. There was a stain in our carpet, the curtains didn’t work properly, my side table lamp was inoperable, there were an insufficient number of outlets and no USB ports. The bathrooms are similar, with no stall shower, just an old converted bathtub. The staff is friendly and the lobby is nice, but this is really a poor excuse for a Four Seasons property.

WOW! A world class experience! Staff is magnificent! Could not have been more accommodating to my long list of special requests to enable me to secretly renew my wedding vows! Personalized, not SERVICE, but personalized CARE! EVERY ONE was kind. The staff, from top to those below, are special people. A great staff begins with hiring. Obviously, management invests in customer service by making selective choices in onboarding co-workers. • Jessica Hsieh, Front Office Manager, • Kisha “Kish” Franklin, Dir Guest Relations • Lidia Mexa, Events Mngr • Mike Thomas, Security • Yehia Soliman, Dir Rooms • and especially, Esther Oh Kostecky, GM are commended for their care. A hotel is a building. Memories are created by PEOPLE! While profits are down during the pandemic, Ms. Oh Kostecky does not cut corners on staff nor quality. ALL staff more masks at ALL times! During the entire week, before and after Thanksgiving, rather than being home with her family, the GM, Ms. Oh Kostecky, was everywhere on the grounds, not directing staff, but greeting clients. She was by the pool ensuring guest were content, and even opening car doors at the traffic circle. Most executives hide in their offices just marking time or delegating holiday responsibilities to underlings. Her presence offered me added confidence that someone was overseeing and coordinating all phases. She is a sophisticated and a friendly person always offering a smile and sincere positivity! Her dedication to perfection is ever present. On our arrival at 10 PM @ LAX, rather than fight thousands of travelers trying to catch an overdue shuttle bus to an understaffed remote rental car location, the hotel provided a waiting car and driver for no more than the cost of a one-day rental car that I would have had to pay $50 for overnight parking. The savings of not renting a car for a trip to the hotel and overnight parking, enabled me to rent a luxurious car during my stay. On the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, how did the romantic on-site restaurant, Culina, that was quite full, accommodate my party of 8, which unexpectedly grew to 10!!! How? Culina's Asst GM, Christina, offered us the most perfect table location, loving staff, and PERFECT food! The valet staff was unbelievable! FAST! Polite. THIS hotel’s cleanliness is IMPECCABLE! The experience that the Four Seasons MADE happen was the best family time we have ever had. It will remain one of the most memorable days of my life.
