Customer service was exceptional. However the room was disgusting. Carpet was torn in multiple places. The blackout shades had holes. There were stains on the bedding. The sofa/sleeper was stain and had such a bad smell I wouldn’t have let my cat sleep on it. For 600.00 a night I was beyond disappointed. Will not stay again and certainly will not recommend this place.
We had booked the hotel for 5 nights and for 1st 2 nights the heating wasn't working properly. All my family members got cold because of the faulty heating. I requested to contact the GM of the property but again no one called us. We have to change the room after staying for 2 nights. The breakfast menu is also very limited and infact on Sunday even there wasn't any breads available. Though the staff was nice.
I stayed in their studio. Which was nice, bed was comfy. Staff was great. Location was nice. Price was good. I would say the only downfall is the ice machine in the fridge in the room didn’t work? Not sure if this was a covid precaution. There was a note on the fridge to use ice machine in the hallway. Which was at least a nice alternative rather than just having no ice. Overall a good stay.
This hotel has roaches, baby roaches everything I was scared to sleep in my room. I will never come back from that experience. The view was nice but the inside was terrible I’m not even sure if they clean the sheets.
Location is great aince it is walking distance to convention center with lots for food options nearby. Room is great, though toilet flush was too loud and could wake up your companion in the middle of the night. Breakfast is the same everyday and not too many options, just a simple breakfast. Check-out was fast and they did not gave me a copy of my bill (thought it would be emailed to me). Now, after a few days I’ve checked my credit card bill and was surprised to see a total charge of USD230 when I think I should have only been charged around USD60 for one day parking, 3 bottled water, and 2 chips. I was suspecting they might have overcharged us on parking where we only parked overnight instead of our entire 3 days stay. I wanted to clarify this and I have been trying to locate an email address where to contact the hotel directly but cannot find any. I tried to call the number on their website but it seems to be a hotline for all Marriott hotels, I was on hold for 30mins and still they cannot help me with my issue. This is very unusual as I’ve been staying to many different hotels and I always receive my bill after check-out either thru email or printed. I hope someone from the hotel read it here and attend to my issue. It was really an inconvenient experience.…
I stayed here for 3 night for a conference held at the Convention Center and the JW Marriott. This hotel was great and so conveniently located and perfect for walking to the convention center and many restaurants. The staff were all great. My room faced the Hollywood sign and it was very nice. The room was very comfortable and large enough to host many people too. Having a kitchen is really nice. I ate breakfast in the breakfast room each and had more than enough to eat in order to skip lunch. Valet can take a while if you text them. I found it quicker to just go directly to the valet desk.
this hotel gets high marks for wonderful customer service. All employees we had contact with were polite, helpful and friendly had a nice room on 15th floor with nice view Short walk to crypto arena for hockey game Will stay here again for next for next game in March
We recently stayed at the hotel for a short family vacation. There is not much shopping by the hotel and it seems to be in a more business/industrial area. The hotel itself looks decent and the suite was an average size. The couch my son slept on had some stains and appeared fairly worn. Upon entering the room, we were overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana. The windows were opened so we assumed the cleaning staff was trying to air it out. The view was nice and we could see the Hollywood sign from our room. Our toilet dripped all night and kept me up. We did report the problems. Here's the major issue. We believe my husband got ringworm on his leg from staying here. There isn't anywhere else he could have got it. I'm hoping the rest of us don't get it. 🙁
Surprisingly good. I’ve stayed at the JW across the street and I have to say the Residence does it better. Modern clean updated. Front desk is speedy. The bellhops are always around. Breakfast on the 2nd floor. Nicely equipped gym in the 3rd floor overlooking the avenue. They keep the riff raff out, it feels safe. Would definitely stay here again.
We travelled to LA as a family of 5 to do some sightseeing and visit family. We got 2 rooms - one for the kids with 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch, and one for parents with a king bed (also had a pullout couch). Here is a complete review which I hope is helpful: Check in: we arrived at 1pm and I didn't really expect a room to be ready but was extremely pleased that one room was ready immediately even though technically check-in was at 4. There was no wait at the front desk and the staff was very helpful. Our second room - which we requested to be on the same floor as the first - was ready right at 4. Rooms: The 2 queen room with pull-out couch was extremely spacious. Queen beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom was nice - would be have been better if the toilet was separate, but it was all very clean and updated. Here's the biggest complaint of the review: the sofa bed was very uncomfortable - mattress was very thin and you could feel the springs and bars. Also, we expected that the linens and pillow for the pull-out bed would be in the room somewhere - but they need to be requested to be delivered. Not a huge deal but would have been nice to know when we checked in. The king room was a little smaller but same kitchen and bathroom. Pool: It's really nice to have a pool in a city hotel but this was a little disappointing mainly because even though the weather was very hot, the pool was quite chilly and it was always very windy by the pool. We did like the upper level deck for relaxing outside. There were plenty of towels, not a huge number of chairs but always enough for us to get one. Also a nice surprise is that the covered cabana couches are complimentary (I assumed they were for a fee). Breakfast: The breakfast was very nice - the hot food included eggs, sausage, potatoes and belgian waffles every day. They also had cold cereals, an oatmeal bar, coffee and juice, muffins, and some take away granola bars. It was all very good but we just got a little tired of it since we stayed 5 days. But it was so convenient and definitely a benefit we enjoyed. There were also coffee makers with coffee in the room. If you want a really nice breakfast I'd recommend Cafe Fig in the Hotel Figueroa about 2 blocks away - it was terrific! Staff: everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful. The front desk was always staffed with at least 2 people and I never waited to speak with someone. The valet set expectations that it could take 30 minutes to get your car so we planned ahead and never had a problem. The valet is steep - $50 per day. There's a public lot across the street that might be a much better deal but we were too tired when we arrived to investigate. Location: very convenient to LA Live and the convention center if you are going to an event. LA live has several restaurants and a Starbucks in the complex which is right across the street. Walking in the other direction the neighborhood is iffy - definitely not a tourist destination but there are some good restaurants if you do some research. Lots of homeless people but that's a problem throughout LA unfortunately. There's also a Target about 4 blocks away if you want to pick up some groceries. The location is very convenient to Dodgers stadium and not too far from the Warner Brother studio tour. It seemed like everything else took us about 20-25 minutes to get to: Beverly Hills, the Getty, Farmers Market, Santa Monica, etc - plenty of traffic in LA but that's no surprise. All in all we were very happy with our stay!…
