Recently we needed to be in the Los Angeles Beverly Hills area and needed a nice quiet place to stay. After some research we found this B&B. It is .4 miles away from the original Farmers Market and so very near 3rd Street with lots of shopping and restaurants. The B&B is a 1929 home where the owners are downstairs and three rooms are upstairs. There is a large kitchen, lovely living room and dining room where a delicious breakfast is served. We had a very fresh fruit parfait with croissants and jam followed by steel cut oatmeal or eggs. The rooms are spacious and charming. Ours, the Terrace Room, had an outdoor terrace plus entryway, bedroom and bathroom. Everything was clean and neat. Lots of interesting art and lovely architecture. The owners are kind and friendly. Costs are reasonable. So, why stay in a hotel when you can see a bit of the real Beverly Hills and be pampered at the same time?…
We stayed in the cottage in the garden for a week in June while visiting our son, and it was just as good as all of the other reviewers say. Bob and Ahuva made us feel like we were visiting family. They even invited my son and his girlfriend to have breakfast with us several times. The cottage was very spacious and the garden was beautiful. They had a full house but it was very peaceful and tranquil. We didn't have a car but street parking was easy when my son came around. I was there for several days by myself before my husband was able to join me, and I loved being able to walk to the Grove and Beverly Center and to Trader Joes and Whole Foods. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants and coffee shops. We will definitely stay there again.
We stayed seven days in the Garden Cottage in late January. early February. We had a very comfortable stay and the location was incredibly convenient, within walking distance to restaurants & markets on 3rd St, and easy drives to other places of interest in LA. Our hosts Ahuda & Bob were warm and welcoming, and offered good company. Breakfasts which Ahuda and/or Bob brought to our cottage were excellent, fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs as we requested them to be made, bread and/or croissants, OJ, & coffee & tea that we made in our cottage. At night and in the early morning all we heard were the birds attracted to the garden around the cottage. A great place!
if you are lucky to be able to book the Garden Cottage you will not be disappointed. very friendly people will ensure your stay is comfortable with lots of local information. breakfast is wonderful and 3 courses (we had fruit/youghut/granola followed by freshly warmed croissants followed by poached eggs. the accommodation is conveniently located with the farmers market nearby which is a must to see. parking available and situated in safe neighbourhood. one day i hand washed some clothes and put them on a chair to dry and when i got back they were all neatly folded on my bed. would have no problem recommending this place to family or friends.
We stayed in the cottage in the garden - a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys - for 3 nights in mid-July. Our hosts were friendly, entertaining and kind! Breakfast was incredible, the best we had during out 4 week trip to the States. Would recommend. Thanks for looking after us!
