A brilliant boutique hotel with a large spacious room! Which provides air conditioning, blinds to adjust at your leisure and a giant TV. The staff seemed a little distant though as the did not tell me how to work the blinds. The bathroom also seemed to be showing signs of mould. Was also asked to pay out a protection payment which I haven’t seen or heard about despite leaving the room in a clean state
In the ad on Expedia the hotel advertised that they have a bar, the bar is no longer open. They advertised there was food, food is no longer available. Great room and nice hotel. But don't like false advertising.
Nice small hotel with unique modern style in interesting neighborhood. Loses one star for minor maintenance issues. Rooms are quite small but very adequate for a few days. Nice rooftop patio. Easy walking access to Hollywood Hills
My family and I stayed at The Moment hotel for 3 nights so that we could be close Hollywood Blvd, Universal and Six Flags. The staff were very friendly and catered to any needs we had. Parking onsite was a bonus and no issues with having a spot available when we returned late in the day. Rooms are quite small but clean and suited our needs for a comfy place to sleep at night. Heads up that beds are only doubles so it’s a bit cozy. Decor is modern but could use a paint job in some areas. Bathrooms have frosted glass doors so not a lot of privacy. Would recommend this hotel for a short stop over and clean place to sleep.
when i arrived i cheked in a second person because i wasnt able to online then they told me no sex alowed in our hotel so i said is this jail or what they repeated no s*x allowed so the next morning they payed me a fine of 879.000 dollars because i left a condom in my room and a few drops of seed i will never again stay here
Very appreciative of the customer service provided and the modern decor and rooms - fortunate to find such a property in Hollywood - super clean and amenable to requests - parking was safe and appreciative - and super close to all amenities and areas around town to visit - thank you!
The property was very aesthetically pleasing and super modern. Lots of shops and stores around which makes it very convenient for walking. If you’re looking for a place to sleep in unfortunately this is not the place! Housekeeping is up and at em at 7 am and you can hear the echoes throughout the hallways!
I stayed at this establishment and was very surprised at the hospitality and level of intuitivness of the staff especially Steven for handling g a small matter that took place there. All in all it wS the best stay I've had in a long time.
I was concerned about the safety of this location because of the number of homeless people living in tents nearby but we did not encounter any problems. Our first room, 106, was located next to the laundry and I asked to be moved; my request was handled quickly. Our second room, 208, was very quiet and conveniently located close to the rooftop sitting area. Our third room, 104, was located on the other side of the ground floor laundry which turned out not to be a problem. This room had not been recently renovated and had some rough spots but more importantly it had a spa bathtub which I really needed. You had to be very limber to get in and out of this tub; you actually had to climb into the tub to plug the drain, very strange. The tub itself made it worth the effort! We spent three nights here and I liked it more every day, especially after we met Stephen at the front desk. Super friendly guy with a sense of humor. The housekeepers provided daily service and did a fantastic job; thank you! The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. The electric blinds provided total darkness and fun to operate. The rooftop area was an oasis where we enjoyed our morning coffee by ourselves except for parrots who hid in the tall palms. We also had our afternoon drinks on the rooftop because of the fantastic view of the hills. So happy that the bar was closed due to COVID! I was probably labeled a problem customer due to changing our room so often but they handled every request with a smile. Thank you everyone for making our visit so enjoyable!…
I really like this hotel! The pics on their website are just a bit nicer than how it looks in person, but they're not misrepresenting it either. What you see is what you'll stay in. Its a true 3-star boutique (aka small) hotel. Check-in was a total breeze and staff were very nice. They didn't wear a mask, but had one handy and would wear it when someone came in wearing one. I was "upgraded to VIP status" which gave me a discount on the parking ($35/day down to $19/day) and a coupon for 2 free "drinks" from their bar. First - I'm pretty sure they "upgrade" everyone, possibly to make them feel better about the cost of parking. $19 is a bit high but fitting for a 3-star hotel in LA on the strip. $35/day would be ridiculous. The parking lot was never full, so parking was a breeze. Second, due to covid, the restaurant and bar are closed, so the 2 free drinks consisted of the front seat guy handing us each a beer from the bar fridge. Totally fine, I'll always take a free beer. But telling us we were VIPs was a bit much. The room is really cute and exactly what I would expect from a 3 star hotel. Comfortable beds - on the firmer side, but not hard at all and 4 GREAT pillows per bed. I genuinely hate most hotel pillows. They seem to think people want to sleep in mashed potatoes and even 4 pillows won't support a person to watch TV. The Moment has lovely soft pillows, but JUST firm enough to support your head without sinking all the way to the bed, and 2-3 pillows supported me comfortably to watch TV. Note that the bedframes are a bit too small for the beds and can slide around. What other reviewers said about bathroom privacy is very true. A fogged glass door is the only thing that separates you from the room, and there's no fan, so your roomies will hear all that goes in in there. My son whom I'm staying with here found a restroom at the rooftop lounge, and would go there when he needed privacy. The room's bathroom is quite small too. The flusher feels like it could fall off at any moment (which I do plan to mention to management) and the toilet paper holder is open on one side and loose on the other, so the toilet paper keeps falling on the floor. Ew. So one star off for the bathroom situation. That said, I think The Moment did the best with what they had to work with when they remodeled whatever this hotel was before. The shower is good enough with a small 4 or 5 in rain shower hanging from the ceiling, along with a handheld shower, which is nice! The bathroom smelled a little like the pipes could use a good cleaning. The tv size is perfect and large. We were able to unplug the DirecTV HDMI cable and plug in our own source for tv. But most will be satisfied with the DTV offered. I love that they tiled the room floors - SO much easier to clean and sanitize than carpet! I'm still here at the hotel, and yesterday was the first day the cleaning staff cleaned the room and they did a mediocre job. We'd spilled some beer and cleaned it, but unknowingly missed some areas on the night stand and floor. In the light of day we could see that the floor wasn't mopped and the nightstand was sticky. Could have been a fluke, so we'll see if they to better today. But it makes me nervous how well they clean between customers. This hotel is in a GREAT location, walking distance to many restaurants and SOME bars. It's weird that many of the bars close so early here. Might be a pandemic thing, not sure. It's also a very short drive from The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, the Whiskey a go-go, Viper Room and lots of other iconic places. There's a Ralph's grocery 5 (affiliated with Kroger) that's also walking distance, and yes liquor is sold in grocery stores here unlike Texas where I'm from. Breakfast tip: try Egg Tuck. OMG - insanely delish and great hangover food. The AC in the room is adequate and I get hot easily. At night I woke up sweaty a couple of times - but I'm also menopausal. Haha. I set the AC to 66, but I'm guessing it only makes it down to 70 or 71. The rooftop lounge is cute and we had it to ourselves most of the time that we went up there. There's an unused bar with restrooms and seating that faces the strip for great people watching. I can tell that in non-pandemic times, the rooftop lounge could be a hopping good time. But right now it's a great place to sit outside and relax. The very best feature for me is the blackout blinds. You open/close them using buttons on the wall bedside. They completely blackout the room! No more using pillows to block gaps in blackout curtains like other hotels. The room has paper cups & and coffee with coffee maker that we did not use. It had enough drawers and storage but could used a few more hangers. It has a mini fridge that holds a 12 pack if beer (cans) plus 2-3 water bottles. No microwave. Note that there is a homeless element here and have set of tents on certain areas of the strip nearby. I personally would not walk alone at night near these tents. Makes me so sad though. So overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. It's probably the nicest hotel on this part of the strip. I feel it's priced accordingly for this area as well. …
