Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.

The only reason you could pick that hotel is for the very convenient location in Hollywood, near the Hall of Fame of Hollywood Boulevard. For everything else, you will have to be very... flexible. The bed is on some kind of coffin, which makes it unstable! If I was going to lay down on the left side, it was starting to flip over. No safe is working in any room. So everything is at its minimum, same for services. They actually didn't ask if I was happy during my stay there...

Booked to stay at le bon for four of us for a business trip in June. We held a booking for about three months but on the day of arrival (while in the air actually) the hotel cancelled three of our rooms because they were booked on a corporate card. Our rooms were then sold on so after our 13 hour flight we had nowhere to stay. The owner was rude and kept telling us as an owner he had the right to cancel whatever rooms he wanted. One of our party did have his booking maintained and was able to - or rather - unfortunate to - be able to stay at the hotel. It was noisy with paper thin walls meaning you could hear more than you cared to! The carpets were dirty, the shower broke during use and the hotel is generally not very well kept. I would really seriously recommend against staying here.

This place is very noisy. It's only 2 levels. Opposite is a bus depot where buses have their reverse beeps constantly going, beeping horns and accelerated revved up cars burn up the street at all hours and there is a nightclub next door on Friday and Saturday nights which closes at 2pm and you can hear the patrons in the street until 3am! The rooms are very small, the beds are old with no support (I woke with a bad back every morning - with of course minimal sleep with the noise, even with ear plugs). Ironically the bathrooms are big and actually clean. The room was reasonably clear but the carpets were old. The room had a strong disinfectant smell and you had to keep the window open as it was overbearing (but you had to shut it when sleeping due to the street noise). No secure baggage storage. You have to leave it in an open cage near reception with no ticket and hope nobody takes your bag. I came back to get mine when leaving and just let the guy know at the front (who I hadn't seen before during my stay) and I really could have been anyone and stole a bag. It is in a convenient location but overall, not the greatest stay due to the noise.

Location was ideal for what we needed; room was small and a bit worn (stains on carpet) but nothing awful or unexpected. Hallways were cute and coffee/tea available on the first floor - not gourmet but enough to get you started. First floor room got some nightclub music noise on weekend evenings. We had two problems during our stay: the in-room safe didn't work and the showerhead would not turn on. In both cases, we went to the front desk several times for help and they were absolutely useless. They repeatedly promised repairmen that never arrived and made no effort to assist. I assume they're being paid to watch the door and that's about it. Luckily our stay was not long and we were able to work around these issues but I would certainly not stay here again. TLDR: fine so long as there are no problems; if there are, expect no help from staff.

Le bon is a modern boutique hotel; unassuming from the outside, but charming on the inside. The location is great, within walking distance to a lot of points of interest in Hollywood. The room itself was incredibly small. Not too much of an issue for one person, but two could be a crowd. No door on the bathroom either. The walls are very thin and you can hear the every move of the guests in the room next door. Room could have used a good dusting. The man at check in was nice enough but there was an unexplained $10 non-redundable charge due at check-in that could only be made in cash. I had planned to meet with friends while in the city but was told there was a limit on visitors (1) and that even if they're not staying, they would have to show their ID and have a copy made which was a strange request. Good for the price considering the location but far too small and lacking to consider going back.
