The rooms are quiet and secure. The post is beautiful, with a salt water pool not far from the quarters. You have to keep the quality in mind when you check in. The bad. No A/C and when we checked in the floors and bath are filthy, and we ended up cleaning them ourselves. The floors are vinyl and I... More

This supports LA AFB, about 30 miles north (by LAX). Therefore, this post is very small -- housing only. The TLQ is old school in style; the army buildings on a quad, reminiscent of the turn of the century. Very comfortable and relaxing, many trees, lots of grass -- rare in Los Angeles. Walking distance (but a good walk) of... More

Requested rm on 1st floor, since no elevators, room was quiet + comfortable. Note: must have military i.d. upon each entry thru the gate. My husband + I enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly + helpful; room was clean, had refrig, microwave, plates, glasses, cups, etc. Hope to visit again in the future.

For us military folks this is a great secret. Price is great for the area. Access to the freeway and LA is worth the little drive. The view of the LA Marina is awesome as well as the beaches in the area. Security is a closed post and is provided by Dept of Defense police officers so your are safe.... More

Absolutely no hot water for showers. Trying to explain this to the manager fell on deaf ears. Very unsatisfactory stay. Not to mention the smell of gas in the room. The bedrooms are upstairs and when i was ready to shower, there was not any hot water. I even let the water run for over 7 minutes thinking it may... More

I enjoyed my stay at this location, nice gated area. I would stay again, small convenience store located on site. Book early, weather is great, not to far from LA, beaches and close to Long Beach. Great for family stay.

We stayed in 100 year old home, modern amenities - minus air conditioning.. Which wasn't a problem, open the windows and the house stayed cool. The base itself is really lovely and clean.. In a sketchy area of San Pedro but don't let that scare you.. Base has 24 hour guard. My only complaint is the staff - most of... More

We stayed at the Fort MacArthur in during the month of July. As has been mentioned in other reviews, there is no air conditioning in the rooms (in fact, there is no air conditioning in the quarters of the full time residents either). But that is only a problem a couple of weeks a year. Our room was very comfortable... More

My wife and I stayed at this old, renovated U.S. Army installation overlooking San Pedro Harbor for two nights to attend an official military ceremony at the U.S. Air Force Base in Los Angeles. It is now operated by the USAF. What an absolutely beautiful WWII fort! Its custodians have kept it in immaculate shape over the years. We occupied... More

My wife and I stayed here two nights. Saturday night was peaceful and quiet. TV & Wifi were down. But the immediate area is clean in typical military fashion. The only problem I had was the second night. Many more guests and no one could read the sign on the heavy door about it slamming. Inconsiderate people but the accommodations... More
