Credit card swipe took half an hour. Desk attendant was more interested in talking on the phone with others than finishing the transaction. Smoking room was only one left. We were thankful to get a room but it was clearly not ready for human occupation i.e. no heat, no bathroom light, cobwebs, no blankets for the bed (just sheets and cover), filthy carpet, saggy, dirty couch, someone's sock in the corner, a broken light fixture dangling from the ceiling, and gouged drywall. The furniture is old and worn. A plus is that the room is spacious. I should have asked for a discount but didn't want to wait for an hour to explain my view. I would condemn this room if I were a city inspector but I cannot speak for the other rooms. Hopefully they are nicer.

This hotel is not fit for anyone or thing to stay at. The area is NOT safe, the rooms are so filthy, none of the keys worked, the check-in guy tried to get us to give him the PIN number to our credit card stating this was normal in America. After deciding not to stay because of feeling very unsafe and all rooms shown to us were disgusting we demanded a refund. He pretended to credit back our card but have since found out he actually didn’t. We have lodged a freud claim with our credit card company. We found this hotel via Booking.com and will forever question that site for having this property listed. We ended up staying at the Crown Plaza hotel by LAX for only $3 more than what we would have paid here and that was Dec. 22nd. Sadly we were looking to spend the morning exploring Long Beach but will never return to that area again. Long Beach tourism should have this place shut down so no one else falls victim to it. Oh ya, and the store a block away is owned by the same “family” and will try to rip you off also.

It's inexpensive and the rooms are very large. It also has a great location in a quiet neighborhood. On the other hand, the rooms have likely not been touch by painters etc. for about 30 years. The paint was pealing off the walls and ceiling, and they had scotch taped the paint slivers to the ceiling. Also, the kitchenette appliances were all rusted over, and there was no air conditioning, so you need to leave windows open.

Stay here with our 2 children because it was cheap and close to the beach but ita becoming to seem like it wasn't worth it. The housekeeper either didnt know how to clean or was just too lazy to do it right. There was cereal on our kitchen floor and we didn't have any. We were over charged and when I contacted the hotel they claimed they didnt havr the info to return the money but now they sure do because they have charged my account again!!!!

I stayed here 6/29/2018 and oh my what a dump!! I was charged full cost $410 for my room with kitchenette but no discounts even with these issues/concerns--I could put my hand to my elbow under the room door!! The stove had no gas so couldn't cook waste of my groceries and in the refrigerator (under sink) was mold, rust and what the other stuff was I have no idea just gross!! Peeled paint, holes, broken counter top there is plenty more but yes I took pictures and video so others can see what the room really looks like.
