Nestled close to the Venice Beach boardwalk, Venice V Hotel is celebrated for its exceptional location and proximity to the beach and Venice canals. Guests have called out the hotel's modern, stylish rooms and the overall artsy atmosphere, though some note the room sizes can be compact and occasionally noisy in the mornings.
While opinions on value and amenities like a gym and pool are divided, the hotel's cleanliness and the service provided by the attentive staff earn rave reviews from many travelers.

Hotel's Favorite
We live in Los Angeles but on the east side of town. For memorial day weekend, we trekked to Venice to stay at The Venice V. Everyone was so welcoming! We had requested early checkin and were accommodated - I think we waited 10 minutes max (and even then, we had strolled down the boardwalk to eat lunch while we waited - a great recommendation by the front desk staff - The Fig Restaurant).
After checking in we took full advantage of the beach bikes and rode down the boardwalk to the pier and then to Abbott Kinney. That evening we walked to Barrique Restaurant - a charming italian restaurant in a house about four blocks away.
The next morning we took the bikes back out again to have breakfast at Gjelina.
Our room was very cozy and hip - my husband got a big kick out of the skateboards in the room. I loved the Aesop products and thought the bed was very comfortable. Our room was quiet and we could not hear any of the goings on down below on the boardwalk. I was a little nervous after reading some reviews but our stay was quiet.
Valet was on the pricier side but my rationale was that we didn't have to pay to rent bikes (which we were going to do) so that felt like a good trade-off.
I would definitely return for another staycation - we had such a great time.

Dear Beth, Thank you so much for this! I love that you were able to not only have a staycation but what seems like a true vacation and experience everything Venice has to offer. I'd be happy to connect with you for your next stay and offer even more recommendations around the area and you should come over a Saturday between now and Labor Day Weekend to enjoy yoga on the beach! Best, Leah

I stayed at this hotel on a vacation to Venice Beach. I did a lot of research of places to stay before selecting this hotel. It is only been open 6 months as of the date of this writing. It is a boutique hotel with no room designed the same way. It is right on the strand of Venice Beach. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms decorated in kind of an art deco funkiness that mirrors the entire vibe of Venice Beach. The pricing of the rooms is quite expensive but not unrealistic for the area. One criticism I have is the valet parking is $50 a day, but they do have some packages that the parking is included. The location of this property is about a 3 minute walk from Muscle Beach which is kind of the central area of Venice Beach. This is a safe and great place to and I will be returning in 2022

Very nice beachfront/boardwalk location. Small but comfortable uniquely designed rooms in an old 1915 renovated building, a blend of beachy, eclectic, Art Deco design. Bikes are available to use at no charge, but grab them early. Santa Monica pier about a 2 mile walk. Beach towels available at the front desk. In room coffee maker and water bottles are no charge, also a small coffee shop right next door. Staff was very helpful, friendly and willing to please. Overall pleased with our choice of this small boutique style hotel for our 5 night stay and and would recommend it.

Overall we loved our stay at Venice V Hotel. It is almost on the beach and that makes it super convenient to checkout both venice and santa monica beach. Loved their bike rentals too. I will not recommend it (until they fix it) for families with babies as they don't have micro wave in any rooms. So if you need that to warm up milk you need to find your own way. Staff is not helpful in that way. They strictly follow their rules :).

Good Morning Omkar, Thank you so much for taking the time to right this review! I am so sorry to hear the staff was not helpful in heating up your baby's milk, while we do not have microwaves for the room we absolutely could have assisted in heating up the milk and for that I am terribly sorry we failed you. That being said, I am happy you did enjoy the majority of your stay and we hope to welcome you and your family back soon! Best, Leah

Interesting ocean view. Large room. BUT : no service. Having to ask for everything (towels, soap, paper cups, emptying bins,…fixing the fan that kept blowing day and night,..). On top checkout with receptionist under influence !!

This is an attractive property right on the Venice boardwalk, with excellent service from the friendly staff and small but well-designed rooms (at least as far as the one we had). Get an ocean-view room up off the ground (we had #302, recommended) because that's why you're here.
Venice is a tough place to park, so if you've got a car I recommend using their excellent valet parking. You can request your car via phone so it's always ready to go when you are.
Remember, this is right there on the beach, so it's not quiet. You don't come to Venice Beach for silence (they have places for that).

I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is amazing to enjoy Venice, so many cool things right on your doorstep. The staff are so friendly, and it really felt like coming home when you step off the bustling boardwalk into the calm lobby. It felt very safe. There are free use of bikes which are perfect for going up and down the beach, as well as free beach towels. Everything at this hotel feels premium; Aesop toiletries in the bathroom, cool snacks & drinks for purchase in room, cool design, Robert’s portable speaker.. would definitely stay here again if I returned - anything else would feel a downgrade!!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are amazing and very comfortable. One of the details I noticed were the Brizo fixtures in the bathroom. I am going through a remodel right now and have picked the same ones for my master bath! So I know they are high quality and fairly expensive! The lobby is so cool and the staff was very pleasant. As far as the location, I’m not a huge fan of the Venice boardwalk area so it’s not a beach I would go to, but I do love Abbott Kinney for shopping and restaurants and the hotel is only blocks away. I also was bummed that we were given the handicap room because the shower is just a handheld. There is no stationary shower head like the rest of the rooms. We needed two beds and this is all they had. I would not stay in that room due to the shower but I do hope to visit again and stay in a regular room!

Dear Sonia, Thank you so much for you kind words and I love that we made you feel even more at home with the same furnishings! In regards to the room, I am terribly sorry for the lack of availability of rooms with two beds but we would have another option that could possibly work for you: The Oceanfront One Bedroom Suite. This suite offers a king or queen bed in the bedroom and a pullout sofa in the living room area. I would be more than happy to discuss options with you further and please feel free to reach out to me directly for your next stay. Best, Leah
