Loews Hollywood Hotel is celebrated for its tranquil atmosphere and prime location, perfect for those looking to delve into Hollywood's attractions. However, some guests feel the hotel doesn't offer value for money, noting high costs and additional fees. While service is generally regarded as friendly and responsive, a few travelers have experienced delays.

A pristine hotel with staff that was extremely professional but also especially friendly. A perfect environment for my son and I to enjoy a short stay while attending a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. If I could have fit their mattresses and pillows in my backpack I would have to take them home. Fairly priced for the area. spotless both inside and out. So many things to do within walking distance. Their restaurant offered up exceptional meal service at a reasonable price for the area. We enjoyed an early check in at 8 a.m. for a fee but it was worth it. We also enjoyed meal credits incorporated into our stay. We will happily return whenever we have the chance!

The Loews Hollywood Hotel has a lot going for it. The location is superb. It's extremely close to tons of shopping and tourist attractions. It's also relatively close by Lyft or Uber to West Hollywood (WeHo), Downtown LA (DTLA) and Beverly Hills (probably cost around $35 each way to these locations). You can also walk to Runyon Canyon for a hike. The subway is also within easy walking distance. There is lots of interesting people watching in the area and the lobby is bustling and a great place to hang out for drinks. It's LA so there is a lot of the issues that confront any major city when staying in the core. I felt safe but just be sensible.
I still give this hotel 4/5 even though there were several housekeeping issues. For instance items from the previous guest were left in the room (Gatorade bottle, socks). When I got out of the shower I realized there were no bath towels and had to call down to have some sent up (as well as a few other minor cleanliness issues). I did send a feedback survey to the manager using the QR code in the room but for whatever reason never heard back. Housekeepers work hard and are often under appreciated and so maybe whoever cleaned the room was having a bad day because the rest of the hotel seemed clean. Pool area was also very nice.
Overall, this is a great property and if you are coming to LA as a tourist and want to be in the heart of Hollywood I think you'll be pleased. It's also worth upgrading for a view of the Hollywood Hills if you can. It's just beautiful. The hotel charges a resort fee/destination fee of approx $35/night that includes some 2-for-1 tickets for some tourist attractions in the area.

An incredible hotel. Very spacious rooms and extremely comfy beds. Clean room and bathroom and the room got cleaned every day with fresh towels. We did ask for an upgrade when we got there and thankfully got upgraded to Floor 19 with incredible rooms so it is definitely worth asking when you arrive. Excellent staff. Parking at the hotel is easy and was only $20 overnight in a secure car park. Pool was slightly heated which was lovely as some pools are sometimes extremely cold. Location was central, the Hollywood Stars are on your doorstep as well as local shops and the Chinese Theatre. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Beware of Biting Bugs! I stayed at Loews expecting a great experience and was bitten by bugs during my stay. My ankles have 6 very painful bites that are still itching 11 days later after my stay. I contacted two managers and it took 11 days to respond after I've called several times for updates as they stated they're testing the room. In addition, the hotel rooms need to be updated. There were scratches all over the furniture and the room door, and the bathroom is also out-of-date. There is a metal bracket in the shower with no shampoo just hanging there and you can hit yourself on the bracket if you're not careful. The hotel claims to have tested the room and only offered to give me a discount on a future stay rather than do the right thing and refund part or all of my money. I am waiting to get the test results back of the negative room, but I won't be staying at Loews again. Your money is better off spent at the Intercontinental since those rooms are running for a similar price and you won't be bitten or staying in a dated room.

Booked a king room with sign view (at a premium) to find that all of these rooms are located next to the service elevators which run 24/7 and sound like planes constantly flying over the room.
We asked to move as the noise meant we couldn’t sleep but the only rooms available that have the Hollywood sign view and aren’t located next to the service elevators are double queen rooms, which for us was a downgrade from the king size bed but we had no other options unless we wanted to endure the constant noise of the service elevators or move to a room without views of the Hollywood, which we had paid extra for.
The rooms are dated, a lot of the furniture is chipped, scratched and dented including all of the doors.
The supposed heated pool isn’t heated at all and was freezing, this was our last hotel at the end of our trip so we were looking forward to relaxing in the pool but it’s far too cold.
We’ve stayed in 4 hotels over the past 2 weeks moving around California and this was the most expensive but worst hotel of them all. It’s clear that the price paid is for the location rather than the quality of the hotel.
I wouldn’t stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone, which is a shame as I’ve previously stayed in Loews Universal Orlando hotels which I rate highly.

Loew’s in Hollywood is a great location but if you don’t proactively call them, they don’t clean your room until 3 pm. Not great when you pay $750/night. The hotel needs more housekeeping staff. I’d stay somewhere else and save the money until they fix this issue.

Modern hotel, attached to the Walk of Fame, with large and clean rooms and very well soundproofed from both traffic and neighbors. The restaurant we have not tried, but having the coffee machine in the room you can have a quick breakfast in the morning without wasting too much time. The bar on the ground floor is modern and well maintained with live music every night. Very convenient parking inside connected to the adjacent shopping center at $20 per night, little for the area.

3 star hotel passing as a 4 star hotel. Restaurant on site closes early, no alcohol service before 4p when the bar opens and from 2p to 4p no food or drink options available on site.
The coffee shop has a gratuity deception racket. All purchases including non service or coffee bar items are charged a 20% gratuity. If you pay by credit card this is not listed on the receipt and you end up tipping extra thinking gratuity was not included.
H2 lounge, was understaffed and poor service. The two times I went it took 30min to get a drink, 20 of that was waiting for service. The manager should staff up when Hollywood Bowl has events and the occupancy is high as this is a known factor. Instead lost of lost revenue and upset patrons. Should also open at Noon not 4p as there are not any non food chain restaurants options available in the area.
Overall would not recommend this hotel or set a low expectation because of the proximity to Hollywood Bowl and being able to walk.
Rooms, my room fridge was broken up on arrival, it appeared the hotel knew this, however the door on the cabinet was molded and water stained from prob months of fridge misuse. Pro, they did replace the fridge right away.

Very nice hotel. Clean and excellent located with exit to the mall Ovation and with communication to the Dolby Theatre and the Chinese Theatre. They serve breakfast for a fee and each room also has a coffee maker and minibar. They're in every detail. Very large room and impeccable bathroom. Very attentive staff. They speak Spanish

Lovely Hotel. We stayed with our children aged 9 & 16 in a double king suite. If you don't plan to take your car out more than twice then park in self park as $20 (per 24 hrs without in/out priveldges) valet is $55 a day with in/put priveldges. Room was better than expected. Although it had a mini fridge and ice bucket they did not provide a bottle opener or wine glasses. Only glasses available in the room were the two in the bathroom. Being a suite I would have liked to have seen a microwave.
