Noisy rooms. Very unhelpful valet staff. No one helped or told us about the baggage cart and we were dragging six bags on our own. Guest were unruly. The front desk staff is very nice though and quite helpful
Immaculately clean, comfortable room! Despite the downtown location, the room was very quiet. I particularly want to thank the friendly, happy staff at the reception, breakfast, and valet. This hotel just had a happy air about it. It was a pleasure to return to after a long day with beloved but energetic family. Everyone was masked. The breakfast was adapted for Covid safety but still had hot food—and pleasant waitstaff. The pool was open by appointment to keep to safe limits. In sum: very well run, welcoming, and comfortable hotel. This will be my new regular place in LA.
I’m always happy with the accommodations, but the Breakfast has really gone down hill. I’m a lifetime Diamond, so I know my HX Breakfasts, and this was sorely lacking. I didn’t see any fresh fruit except for un-pealed oranges. No Peanut Butter for my toast. It’s my main source of protein at breakfast, and a mainstay at Hampton Breakfast. Also come to expect hard boiled eggs, which were nowhere to be found. No plant based milk for cereal or coffee. Staff looked at me like I had two heads when asking for these items. I recognize supply chain is an issue, but for goodness sake make a trip to Von’s to have these items. Even for the asking on request.
We stayed for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. We were a little nervous about safety and staying in Hollywood, but we had no reason to be because the hotel was so nice and in a great location. We did walk to Hollywood Blvd., which was a bit farther than we thought so we took an Uber back after we had walked so much ;). The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly, always greeted you when you walked by. We loved that parking was valet and they were so prompt and would offer directions if you needed it. It was a great choice for us and exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were modern and very pretty. The pool was small but had lots of seating around it. Highly recommend!
We were checking in late on a Saturday night with a confirmation code still we were made to wait for an hour with zero line. We made a reservation for 3 nights and were told that we need to repay for your bookings and that they had not received a confirmation to the room which they could only check until Monday. Also, they told us they could not guarantee our initial cost of reservation back. The receptionist was extremely rude and abusive and made snarky and abusive comments throughout our whole trip, we brought it to the attention of the manager Marichu who only seemed to be concerned while doing nothing else. In the span of 1 minute, my business patner booked a room for like 20 usd less then me . I strongly advise against living in the hotel just the atmosphere and negativity made it a distasteful environment and a horrible stay of 3 nights.…
This was an excellent Hampton Inn. Muhammad took care of us for our trip and even offered us a complimentary room upgrade, which was perfect for our honeymoon stay. Everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast was good. Valet parking was efficient and took good care of our vehicle. Thanks!
I stay in Hamptons frequently all over the country, and though they are usually decent they certainly vary in terms of upkeep. This one is a little bit of a step up from others I've been in! The lobby was extremely spacious and clean, the room attractive and immaculate, with very friendly, professional front desk staff. It seemed recently renovated? I loved the location, it's close to where friends live and things are that I want to do. I only stayed one night so I can't speak to the amenities that I didn't have time for, but I was delighted to find this particular Hampton Inn. LA is an expensive place to stay overnight, this is a great find!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Though the carpets needs to go and the complimentary breakfast was average when compared to Holiday Inn Express. The location was right on Hollywood and near transit ..
Breakfast: Pathetic. If you are not a pork/beef eater, then the breakfast is not for you... like me... out of 8 nights, I was just forced to eat for 4 days... just bread, butter and egg. Other days I bought instant noodles and prepared in my room for my family. House Keeping: House keeping is not mandatory in this Hotel.... You will need to book every morning if you want your room to be cleaned... We were not informed about this in advance... and one day we missed to book and our room was just cleaned normally (No Linen/Towel change) upon pleading. I was asked to pick the towels from front desk on my own. Location is good. Rooms are otherwise clean and nice. But the house keeping staff are not doing a great job.... every day we found some stains or the other... Few fastfood joints nearby... Jack In The Box and Taco Bell. CVS/7-11 are just 500mtrs away. There is an Indian Restaurant just 100mtrs away...back side of the hotel. Another Indian Restaurant is just 700mtrs away. Two guys in the front desk... Mr. Hue and a Black American guy... both are absolutely fantastic... always ready to help... Tea/Coffee available 24/7 at lobby. However we also had Refrigerator, Coffee Maker and Microwave in our room. By the way it was King Suite room where I was staying.…
We stayed here as a family to stay near Universal Studios and also be close the the walk of fame. Great location. I was pleasantly surprised how clean and safe the hotel felt. Everyone working there was so helpful, friendly, and kind. Overall amazing stay!
