Detailed Reviews
We stayed 6 nights while vacationing in LA. The hotel is centrally-located and in a safe area. There's a shopping mall a couple of blocks away (Beverly Center). Plenty of stores and restaurants around. This is 3-star hotel with excellent customer service. The staff is very helpful and quick to answer any questions or provide soap, towels, etc. The continental breakfast is very good, they even have hard-boiled eggs. The beds and pillows are comfortable, but it's noise at night due to the traffic on Beverly Blvd. and ambulances/police maybe due to the closeness to Cedars Hospital. If you are a light sleeper like me, I suggest you ask for a room in the back of the property. I had a king bed room and it was a good size, but the bathroom is a little small. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you to the staff at Elan Hotel for making our stay so pleasant!

The Élan Hotel is a gem of customer service combined with efficient convenience. The room was immaculate and the king sized bed offered six pillows with varying softness. I slept better than any other hotel bed this century. Valet was quick, and given the central location, I was so appreciative of the low key service. The happy hour with wine, cheese and meats was awesome. Comfortable furniture and sound proof windows provided a calm, mellow environment. A gem across the street from the Beverly Center.

The hotel, which is nicely appointed, is about a half of mile from the hospital. They offer a hospital rate. We were in the hotel for about a week during the height of the corona virus and that made things a bit tough, but the hotel had menu's from a number of local restaurants that delivered. Although there wasn't a daily maid service trash pick-up and fresh towels were always available .
All in all the visit was very pleasant and we plan on staying at this time we need a hospital visit.

This review is overdue and despite all the other excellent reviews, I wanted to add my own.
The Elan hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Cedars-Sinai and to a broad range of dining options (i.e., fast food, plant based, ethnic…) and shops. As we stayed for close to two weeks (during the pandemic) we could not have been happier with the accommodations of a large room with extra seating area. The manager, Carlos, was helpful and kind. He is the epitome of excellent customer service.
We very much appreciated the accommodations and the extra kindness shown to us. Because of Carlos and other staff, our experience at the Elan Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
I highly recommend this hotel, especially for anyone requiring close proximity to the hospital.
(Bonus: they offer special rates to guests who are in town for medical appointments at Cedars-Sinai.)

The Elan Hotel is a great gem for those wanting to shop, or have need for easy access to Cedars-Sinai. It is an easy walk to the Medical complex ( 10 Minutes) and between the hotel and the complex is the shopping mecca of Beverly Center. Our business centered around the medical complex. Upon learning of the medical issues we were dealing with, not a day went by when someone of the staff did not asked about our progress and wished us well. Particularly supportive were Leo, and the two gals who manned the front desk, Liz and Nayroby. They are the best!
Elan is following strict Covid protocols, so no housekeeping was performed on a daily basis. (per letter handed to new customers of the hotel.) However, we received clean towels upon request; had garbage emptied by setting cans outside room door, and new coffee supplies simply by asking. A full change of linen and cleaning was completed upon request at the front desk. I personally did not find any protocols, however strict, unacceptable.
We had no knowledge of the parking situation because we did not have a car while here.
The hotel does have some cosmetic issues. ( old carpet in room 120 requires replacing ) Since they are under new management, I hope this will be forthcoming soon. The lobby areas were clean, and relatively modern.
I walked from Cedars to the hotel each evening, (between 7 and 9pm) and felt safe. There were restaurants, fast food, gas station, and a big CVS store within 2 blocks. ( shout out to Northern Cafe Chinese Dumpling House, and Norms)
We will be staying at the Elan hotel again when medical issues bring us to Cedars-Sinai . The staff and location make this a warm, welcoming place to rest while in Beverly Hills or West Hollywood. A big thank you to the staff for their warmth and compassion during our stay. It was much appreciated.

This hotel is one of the most accommodating hotels that I have ever had the pleasure of staying. I first came upon them while my niece was in a neighboring hospital having a major procedure. My sister-in-law, her mother, stayed there while we double teamed the duty of care for my niece. My sister in law raved about the hotel and I quickly became a fan. They even have a "Cedar Rate" when a patient is in the hospital because the hospital is but a good walk from the Elan. The other rates are more than fare and equitable. During the last year beyond my niece's care, I have stayed at this hotel due to my gigs in the Los Angeles area. Each time that I stay the staff is attentive, friendly, cordial, efficient and so accommodating. Now I feel as though the Elan staff is like family they are just that nice. Whether you're in town for work or for pleasure, do your self a favor and stay a night or two at the Elan. The property is close to the Beverly Center, fine restaurants as well as fast foods, There is a great restaurant right across the street as well as a nice Vegan restaurant close by. You can walk to the mall and on the corner of the mall there is a lovely French pastry/breakfast spot that you'll drool over until you break down and purchase a decadent pastry. When you stay at the Elan, you can rest on their comfy beds and get a great nights sleep. IT;s a Win-Win!

The hotel location was perfect for our stay. It is close to the hospital, shopping and restaurants. The room was well appointed, very clean with a king bed and a refrigerator. It had plenty of closet space and shelves to store personal belongings. Premium TV channels, robes and slippers, iron and ironing board were also available. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to every request that we had. The wine and cheese reception was a nice way to meet other travelers. Overall this Elan Hotel is a great value from the price! I would highly recommend it to anyone. We will be returning again.

Well located on a busy street near a prominent medical center and some exciting shopping and dining areas. Cheerful, responsive, helpful, friendly and kind staff. Comfortable bed and nice bedding and plenty of pillows and towels. Good shower, decent air conditioning, plenty of outlets and big dresser drawers, nice full size bottles of shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Secure self parking, easy in and out. Room was amazingly quiet despite the outside traffic. Anything I needed they cheerfully and quickly supplied. Due to Covid, they cannot set out breakfast and they don’t come into the room for cleaning. You can leave your trash outside the door and they remove it. Cold drinking water dispenser and microwave oven near the lobby. So convenient if you need to be near Cedars Sinai, and they changed my check out date several times without any difficulty due to changing circumstances. They clearly care about your comfort and happiness while you are there. Multiple choices for food nearby, and a mini fridge if you bring in a few groceries or have leftovers. I could not be more thankful for the wonderful service from Nairobi, Carlos, and Oscar during my stay.

The hotel is a few miles drive from Rodeo Drive, but to stay closer to that part of the town one also gets a larger hotel bill. However, this hotel is not far from the Grove and many other interesting places in Hollywood.
The hotel allows guest to smoke in the balcony outside their rooms, and everytime I went out to the street I would see this room from above puffing cigarette smoke out which was a turn off. Try to get a room facing court yard instead of the street.
I like how they have decent self-serve breakfast and more than 2 choices of non-dairy milk alternatives.

It was not made clear before arrival where the parking was. I drove around the building/ block twice thinking I missed it. I called and it was explained that the gate in the front of the building that led downward would be opened for me. The parking is odd because there are double spaces but you can only park in one of them or you will block the car closest to the wall or, if you parked closest to the wall, you would be blocked in. For that you will pay $36/day.
The room was adequate but small. Tiny balcony but no chairs to sit on out there. So not that practical.
I had surgery the day after arrival and upon return to my room expecting it to be made, I found that it had not. I was terribly groggy but luckily had a friend with me to help get me settled in. My friend went to the front desk to let them know that the room had not been attended to. He was told that only stays of 3 nights or more get room service. The front desk person then said he was told that at check-in, which neither he, nor I was. There is nothing on their website to state this nor when I made the reservation directly with the hotel was this fact made known. Their website states that they offer "5 Star Amenities". One could easily take that as having a guestroom attendant make the room daily. When my friend advised the front desk person that no one told us this, she called him "a liar". Wow! Later she apologized for being that rude.
So we had to ask for new towels and gave someone the trash (as we ate dinner the night before in our room).
I would definitely not call this anything close to 5 Star. It would more accurately rate as a 2-3 Star. A 2-night stay with hospital rate, no maid service, and parking cost over $400.
Not the best experience nor value for the money. Next time I will look elsewhere.

Dear Guest,
The hotel has a couple of options for every day shopping just a block away.
We have a CVS store open 24 hours a day and as an alternative we also have a Target each is just 1 block away. If you need a store strictly for spirits, we have a Bevmo 1 1/2 blocks away.
Please let me know if you need anything else as we are always here to help!
