Had the pleasure of staying recently at this hotel and absolutely LOVED it! It's charming, quaint, extremely clean and has some very nice touches (bottled water and slippers for each guest) The bathroom has modern upgrades and our room was freshly painted. The King size bed was extremely comfortable and the room even featured a walk in closet with two... More

Great hotel for the price ! We love to stay in historic places. The details are gorgeous. We had a very late check-in and they had no problem accommodating us. It was close enough to universal and paramount studios. Would stay again.

This is a clean, comfortable room with friendly, helpful staff. The old time pictures all over the hotel bring it historic charm. Great for a day or two to take care of business and visit downtown Hollywood.

I chose this hotel because of it's past reviews.,,and even then a few negative comments don't influence me. I loved the idea that it had history to it and it's position. I arrived late (due to delays in flights/security) so travelled to the hotel in the dark and initially felt worried that I had made a mistake. I was checked... More

This is LA, so close parking (or easy parking in general) is always a good thing. They have a lot right in the back for $12 a night which isn't bad in my opinion. There's no gym, but there's WIFI. My room was clean, they had a working AC and the bathroom was clean. There was a mini fridge and... More

We were attending the premiere of The Walking Dead and The Talking Dead at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery last weekend and wanted a hotel within walking distance. It didn't have to be anything fancy, since we would only be sleeping there, but it could not be scary!! Seriously, the hotels in that area are for the most part SCARY!! We... More

The hotel itself is old and creepy. Our room was large with a huge closet. Had an "old" smell. Our bathroom was updated but the bathroom light was almost non existent. You could hear everything in the hallways and the door to the room didn't close properly and you could see outside and see the light. We took an Uber... More

We were skeptical when we arrived, due to the neighborhood and the lack of a restraint. However, we discovered that they are adding a bar/restaurant and should be open By the 23rd of October. Staff was great and the remodel is great. We're coming back.

The hotel is definitely vintage but well taken care of. We were looking for value and something a bit less cookie-cutter and this hotel delivered. Although parking is additional it is reasonable. Rooms are large and clean and beds are comfy. Note that the elevator is tiny, there are no phones or ice machines but there is a small fridge... More
