Travelers' Choice
Hotel Normandie is an historic, boutique hotel. The property is a cultural landmark in the city of LA, in the Renaissance Revival style. Built by Walker & Eisen in the mid 1920s. With training as preservationists, and with commitment to the community in the style of the 'New Urbanism' movement, the team has lovingly restored a rare piece of LA history for guests, for neighbors and for the city.

Hotel Normadie used to be a good hotel with charm and history but now it's dated. The room had a musty odor and the entrance light was not working. I should have said something but I couldn't be bothered since I was only there for 2 nights. The street noise was very loud especially at night. The windows need be sound proofed. The gym used to be a couple blocks away now they use 24hr fitness which is like 7 blocks away. Not very convenient. On the plus side they gave free water which was appreciated especially during the hot weather. The staff was friendly. However, for the money pay a little more and stay a block away at the Line Hotel.

It’s a really cute, historic hotel. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected but we made it work. It was really clean and we loved the historic feel to the hotel. The staff at the hotel as well as Cassells and the valet were excellent. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The valet is $40 a night but totally worth it as someone’s there 24/7 and you’re guaranteed a parking spot. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is nice and had good sleep but it's expensive. The rooms are clean, well arrange with, & with enough amenities. The hotel is expensive when you check in as you arrive which is very wrong supposed to be at least cheap you reserve as you arrive and pay.

Got a room with a king size bed. Was adequate enough and clean enough. Would stay here again, only because the staff people are excellent and professional. Realize that the building itself surrounds a corner so you get traffic noise from both sides. There are inner rooms that I don’t think will hear the road noise much. Bed was comfy. Linens could look cleaner though. And water pressure is typical. Restaurant located in hotel but not open for breakfast on weekdays.

The hotel was very tasteful and the staff excellent. So friendly. We enjoyed the wine hour one night in the lobby under the chandelier which I loved! I was there with daughter to find an apartment because she is moving there in two weeks to go to USC grad school. It was a great location, with fun restaurants in the neighborhood.

I couldn't sleep because of noises from the road. Make it sure to stay at a room away from the road. Being in Korea town is good to visit many tourists sites. Not much to mention for this hotel, but the front desk is very very kind.

Hotel Normandie has always been friendly and enjoyable. We had an unexpected extension of our stay and they were so accommodating. The rooms are small but very comfortable. The decor is fitting for a 1920s hotel. The staff is awesome!

This hotel is located in Koreatown, and is only a 10-15 minute drive to tourist spots such as Hollywood Blvd/Walk of Fame, 20 minute drive to Downtown LA & Beverly Hills. There’s also many food spots nearby & a restaurant built inside the hotel. The room we stayed in was clean & the service was great. We stayed for 5 nights. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had a quick one night stay in LA for an event, we found this hotel on Expedia. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome including text messages before we got there. Hotel was clean and had a great old Los Angeles vibe. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful, historic hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency and had to leave around midnight, but the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were nice. We will hopefully be able to stay here in the future. Cassell's Burgers next door (connected to the hotel) is also incredible.
