Hotel Normandie is an historic, boutique hotel. The property is a cultural landmark in the city of LA, in the Renaissance Revival style. Built by Walker & Eisen in the mid 1920s. With training as preservationists, and with commitment to the community in the style of the 'New Urbanism' movement, the team has lovingly restored a rare piece of LA history for guests, for neighbors and for the city.

Amazing stay. Exceeded my expectations. The hotel cleanliness was a 10. Quality refurbish. Lobby seats a large crowd and it very boho chic. It was a pure delight to find out they hosted a free happy hour with lots of wine choices. First impressions, I give it a 9.5/10.

Hotel was super charming and retained a ton of character from original build. I do believe the room we stayed in at least needed more renovation/restoration for a better experience as well as an upgrade to the TV. Bed/seating/shower pressure were all excellent and the comfort of the room as a whole was great! Will definitely stay again on our next trip to LA.

Front desk staff were friendly and polite. Valet parking was on the block diagonal to the hotel--we had to park there, walk across, check in, then walk back out to get the valet ticket, and take that back to the front desk staff--the only slightly tedious part that I feel could be more efficient. Slight light shining through the curtains and you could easily hear people through the halls and rooms. I found the bed mattress to be a little hard.

I've tried many hotels during my daughter's tenure at school the past four years. I am done looking, The Normandie has everything I desire. Location, excellent staff, Cassell's, Bar Normandie and comfort. I love staying there!

The most disappointing stay. Stay was nice-ish, bellhop was great. Had to pay for valet only to then have to park my own car and then walk back across the street? So checking in/out was a 3 step process, which had they mentioned it on the website may not have been so annoying. The room didn’t feel clean at all - showered at a friends place bc I wouldn’t go in. I had my service dog with me and felt like they keep “s%it” rooms for people with dogs and that’s what I got. Super loud from inside and outside, and just an overall icky feeling the entire time. I couldn’t get out of my room fast enough!
