Hotel Normandie is an historic, boutique hotel. The property is a cultural landmark in the city of LA, in the Renaissance Revival style. Built by Walker & Eisen in the mid 1920s. With training as preservationists, and with commitment to the community in the style of the 'New Urbanism' movement, the team has lovingly restored a rare piece of LA history for guests, for neighbors and for the city.

Great hotel in fun area. Staff was wonderful. Wi-Fi was pretty rough. I had to use my phone as a hotspot for computer. Cassells restaurant was great and don’t sleep on their breakfast. Good value for boutique hotel.

Charming hotel located in Korean town. We loved the vintage ambiance and the old elevator. Our room was next to a patio, so there was a little bit of noise. I would recommend not choosing that side of the hotel. Overall we had a great stay.

Thank you for taking your time to write such a kind review of our hotel. We're happy to hear that the ambiance was to your liking, as we are a historical landmark, we do pride ourselves on preserving the feel throughout the hotel. We do apologize for the noise disturbance you experienced during your stay, for guests who are sensitive to noise, we recommend reaching out to the front desk and inquiring about moving to a room that faces the interior of the hotel as these are our quietest rooms. Thank you again for your positive review, we hope to have you with us again in the future!

Hotel Normandie was what we expected. Vintage with a lot of charming decor and history. Loved the chandelier and old school elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was quaint and had everything needed.

This hotel has great potential. But it’s got a long way to go. The location is good. Walking distance to the subway is a huge plus. Proximity to Koreatown, downtown LA and the museum district to the west are really appealing. However, parking is an outrageous $40 per day! The restaurant on the ground floor is dirty and the food is horrible. The rooms are tiny and shabby. If you’re going for the Perry Mason meets the Walking Dead vibe, you might enjoy it. We didn’t. Wi-Fi was intermittent and the HVAC was even more spotty. And oh yeah, the hotel owner also owns the bar on the ground floor and apparently could care less if the base beat keeps the guests awake. If you must stay here, insist on a room far from the bar! I rate them a 3 because the staff did the best they could with what they have to work with.

Overall the stay was amazing! The staff was super friendly and efficient. The wine reception was fun with a chic ambiance. Hotel was close to plenty of shops and restaurants. Small problem with wifi/TV but this did not take away from the stay too much. Would absolutely stay again!

I travel to LA for work regularly and this is my go-to hotel. Great location, easy parking and great food and drinks in the building. I love the classic feel. Oh, and the price is great as well. If Cassells stayed open later itd be perfect.

I found the hotel online and am so glad we decided to stay. The pictures did not do it justice. Old world charm was perfect. Service was amazing and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. CJ was very, very helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions. His recommendations for lunch and dinner were great. Would definitely stay again. Because the hotel is older, you might hear the noise outside but do not let it deter you. The happy hour at 6 every night in the lobby makes up for that. A great botique hotel.

Stayed as a family (2 adults and 2 children). Spacious rooms, nicely furbished and clean. Happy hour in lobby and complimentary water was a nice perk. Very friendly staff, in particular Adam and CJ! Restaurant offered convenience for breakfast and other meals as needed.

You will enjoy the ambiance! Great that there was parking across the way, it was very short walk! Had a feeling of nostalgia and felt the history of the place. Close to many amenities, waking and driving distance.

Normandie Hotel is a lovely setting, CJ at the front desk gives a nice warm welcome and the food at Cassell’s is delicious. The only slight downfall is the thin walls that allows you to hear everything in the rooms next to you, above you and across from you.

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Normandie Hotel. We are glad to hear that you had a positive experience with our front desk staff and enjoyed the food at Cassell's. We apologize for the issue with the thin walls - the building was built in 1926 prior to modern day soundproofing. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
