Ideal for a few nights when visiting Los Angeles. It is small, friendly, clean and well appointed the rooms are quaintly dated but if you just want a base the Wilshire motel is perfect. It is has parking and it close to shops, cafes and restaurants.

The room we stayed in was extremely small - it felt like a chicken coop. The room was clean. The WiFi was poor. It is on a major road so to get out of the driveway is difficult. Ear plugs were provided (I assume because you might here the road but with the air conditioning on, you couldn't hear any noise outside), We had a parking space when we arrived but we went out for 15 minutes and lost the space. I  thought if you were offered a spot, you got to keep it for your entire stay. It is basically first come, first served so you might have it sometimes but not always. Had to park on the street but move it by 7am the next day due to street cleaning rules. There are many shops nearby. Probably wouldn't stay again.

This is an older property, but very clean and super cute. The room was small, but comfortable. Looks like everything had a fresh coat of paint. The faucet handles in the shower were missmatched, but that just added to the charm. The towels were great -- soft and thick. A great value if you're looking for a place to stay in Santa Monica!

Definitely friendly staff, from the check in to the check out Wilshire staff is awesome. Stayed here due to their location ( close to consulate) , there are lots of places nearby to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room was clean and comfortable. Thanks for a nice stay!

This is a wonderfully charming motel, consisting of small connected huts or small houses built in 1937. The historical feel of the place makes this motel special. What adds to its charm is that the manager and staff make an effort to render the stay comfortable. The location is convenient, e.g., for visits of the nearby UCLA. I loved the place. If I still might not come back, it is because the internet connection was patchy, and having reliable internet is for work reasons really important for me.

We loved our 1 night stay in our bungalow. Yes its shabby chic, yes its on a main road, but the staff were lovely, and the breakfast was better than i expected. A great location to drive down to Santa Monica or to get into LA, a McDonald opposite and a CVS next door. Wish we had stayed longer.

Nice motel in general with comfortable rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and it met our needs. The rooms have all the amenities you need with a cozy shower, comfortable beds and TV. There is enough parking for all guests which you absolutely need in LA as everything miles away! The location is OK being on a main road which takes you all the way to Santa Monica. Breakfast is basic with cereal, bagels, muffins and fruit. Was a shame that we had to eat it on the tarmac next to the cars, however that is a downside of being situated where it is.

We booked this motel last minute, the price for this area was good thats the reason why we choose this motel. We arrived very late but that was no problem someone on the fromt desk helped us (11pm). Our room was next to whilshire blv and i thought it wo be loud because of the cars but sleeping was no problem. The staff of this motel is soo friendly. They helped us in any case. Breakfast is also good and included. İ would recommend this hotel. We used the bus to beverly hills, santa monica and hollywood ita very easy to take the bus from this motel.

Where to start.. this IS the definition of a boutique hotel... pin perfect. Everything from the Valet to our room was top notch... so was dinner on the roof! Highly recommended ! This hotel is styled in the "Cubitz" decore don to the ceiling fixtures. Truly enjoyable, planning on staying again. FIVE stars!

This motel is a little gem in a great location. Each accomodation is an individual chalet. Ours had a bedroom with a double bed and TV, and plenty of draw space and a large wardrobe/cupboard. There's also a living room with 2 single beds, a settee and chair and another TV, plus a kitchen with large fridge, microwave, table, plus a small bathroom. The accomm was clean, beds changed daily. Great breakfast in a separate space, included in a very reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff, and all just off of a major road with shops bars and cafes close by, which is not to be taken for granted in LA! Buses also stop close by, which take youa long distance to the east and West of the city. I can highly recommend this motel.
