I stayed at Chateau du Soleil for 8 days. It was amazing. I stayed in a room with private bathroom. It was beyond clean, quiet and friendly. Huge living room and kitchen, perfect wifi connexion. The place is located about 10 mn away from the red line, North Hollywood station. One stop from Universal Studios and two stops ( less... More

I stayed here for about 10 days with my friends when we were vacationing in LA. Gary, the person who runs the hostel, is extremely friendly and caring. He gave us his cell phone number the very first day and let us call or text him at any hour whenever we needed something. We had an issue with the hot... More

Being a girl travelling to the other side of the world can be so daunting. I picked the chateau cos of all of the amazing reviews on here. It definitely lived up to the hype. I arrived late at night (plane delay) to find Gary the manager still waiting for me, as he had been for hours. In the morning... More

The staff here are really laid back and super cool. Great mix of people passing through. Everyone gets along great and the cooking faculties are real handy. Located close to bus transit to go into Hollywood. Lost of stuff to do close by in North Hollywood proper. Frequent get together a at the property and several times people get together... More

I was fortunate enough to stay at the Chateau for a few months. I found it a great place to stay at. It is walking distance to a strip mall, where you would find a supermarket, dollar stores, hair salon, food outlets, etc. It is also walking distance to the Metro subway, which would take you to almost anywhere in... I loved staying at the Chateau de Soleil. I arrived and immediately began meeting people. The environment was friendly and the pricing was great. It was a great, and safe, location to be at. Gary was a pleasure to be around, and no one could ask for a better host. If you don't stay here, then you might as well... More

I stayed at the Chateau de Soleil while attending classes at the Acting Corps. The Chateau offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. All the guests seemed to be on a similar creative mission so it was easy to make good friends. The Chateau's owner and manager Gary is extremely friendly and helpful. I very much enjoyed my stay there.
