The Westin LAX did not disappoint! The room was clean and fairly updated. The front desk service was prompt, professional and very informative. Unlike most hotels around LAX, the parking fee of $11 a day was FANTASTIC along with the 4 level garage! No complaints about this stay or hotel. Would definitely return.

This hotel does not meet Westin standards. When I checked into my hotel for the night of October 19, 2020, (room 1158) I was exhausted and in need of a beautiful, clean, sanctuary. There were 7 long black hairs on the bathroom floor. The elevators were dirty- it was a miserable place to stay. I do not recommend this hotel.

Where do I start? I usually like to provided a balanced review, however, this is a truly awful hotel that Marriott should be ashamed of. Upon check in we were made to wait whilst the front desk checked in airline staff. As a platinum Bonvoy member this is not appropriate. The front desk staff weren't very helpful nor professional. The duty manager, Christian was also unhelpful and unfriendly and somewhat smug and abrasive. When we first purchased the room via the Marriott website, we purchased a standard twin queen room. As platinum members we were able to request a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which we did and was confirmed by the hotel. Upon arrival we were told no suites were available. Upon complaining we were promptly reminded by the duty manager, Christian, that they are complimentary and based on availability. After spending more than $10,000 last year with Marriott i think that was an absolute joke of a response. After waiting 30 mins they were able to obtain the awarded suite. The suite itself, whilst spacious, is awful. It smells of smoke and has not been kept well. The roof in the room clearly has water damage.

My stay at this hotel with my fiance was really wonderful. The people that work here are very friendly and the lounge area here is really great to hang out with friends that are staying at the hotel. Would suggest you bring your own water bottles as there's been a shortage of water and eating food outside would be recommended.

Executive Lounge is closed and there is no compensation for Elite members. Some Marriott properties provide breakfast or points as compensation. Since I was in a hurry, I forgot to check the Folio statement in my email before checkout and I didn't ask for the print copy as well. Today, I checked my email and noticed a $3.00 Telephone charge that I didn't use. I should have stayed at other Marriott property while in LAX.
