Room Tip: I would book the top floor facing the South side. Closer to the roof and views are great.

Giving 5 Stars due to the Staff. When I arrived I was disappointed that the elevator was down but Abby front desk staff gave me free parking due to this inconvenience of this. This made me thrilled for I stayed a week here. Rooms were clean roof top is sick and Abby is the best. I will be back with my family. Thank you Abby and all the staff for the great stay even with the elevator being down.

I'm not one to leave reviews but I was really impressed by Abbeys Guest Services. When we arrived thought the area wasn't safe and was going to find else where to stay. After speaking with Abbey and getting a list of recommendations i felt safe and gave it a try. The room was nice and clean and she was right the morning time I realized the hotel was in the best location ever and the roof was great for Sunset. Everyday was greeted with a smile and am very happy with my overall stay. Thank you Abbey for making our stay wonderful.

My wife and I have stayed at the Venice Suites twice now. The first time was better than this most recent stay but that was due to the area more than the Venice Suites. The hotel is great. It’s a funky old 4 story apartment building with a tiny elevator (out of order for this visit) that’s been converted into s hotel. The rooms have kitchens and most have a partial view. The front rooms have a full view and the building sits directly on the ocean front boardwalk. Heads up, Parking is tough, they have a deal with a local coveted, secured garage ($10/day) but it’s a good 5 minute walk. The rooms are nice. Not the four seasons, but if you want the classic e experience, you’ll get it here. You’re right on the boardwalk, steps from shops, food and all the freaks. They have put a nice patio up on the roof with couches, lounge chairs and a bbq. 360 degree view. Venice itself has

What a perfect location! I read lots of reviews and was a bit worried about the apparent homeless people problem but we had no trouble at all, even though there are a LOT of them around. It's comforting that the hotel is staffed 24/7. The location just is absolutely unequalled. Step out the hotel and you're literally on the beach, just incredible. The rooftop deck is fantastic!!! What a view, we watched sunrises and sunsets, just stunning. The room has absolutely everything you could want, even though there were no lids for the pans and the dishwasher wouldn't open because the handle was broken. But the staff tried to compensate by offering the housekeeping staff to wash our dishes (we declined). Also they could maybe provide disposable dish cloths, like J-Cloths, because the old sponge provided as a dish cloth reeked terribly, I just threw it out and used paper towels to clean the dishes. The first morning after we left our room though and returned hours later, our room was unlocked. We assume the housekeeping staff just didn't check the door after cleaning. We mentioned it to the front desk and they apologized, and we had nothing taken, but still that was a bit concerning. It was great to be able to leave our bags in the storage room after check out, since we had an evening flight, but the storage room had other guests' bags and housekeeping supplies in it, so I didn't feel it was secure. Plus there was virtually no room, but it's nice that they allow this, as well as use of the rooftop while waiting for the flight. However, it was quite hot and sunny and there is no shade whatsoever up there. Maybe in summer they put umbrellas up there for shade. The room is really huge, just like a small apartment really and very airy. I love that the windows open (they have screens) because it was beautiful to hear the ocean waves in our room. The windows are also huge and lots of them so it's bright and breezy (we faced north with a partial ocean view which was STUNNING!! Imagine, your very own view, unbelievable!) The window ledges were really dirty though. There are 2 chairs and a kitchen table, from where we could see the view. There is no safe in the room, unfortunately. Also, from other reviews, I was a bit worried about being out after dark, but the staff reassured us (I travelled with my 19 year old son) that it was indeed safe, just not to be out too late (10pm was recommended). We walked down the beach to the Santa Monica pier after dark, around 6 pm and Ubered back, perfectly fine. Again, the location is just fantastic, the building was very quiet. What a perfect stay, I couldn't have been happier. Jeremiah at the front desk was fantastic - thank you Jeremiah! He provided advice, reassurance, and was always ready and happy to answer our questions or concerns. I am very grateful to him for all of this! We will be back. Other reviewers mentioned a discount for returning, so I'm hoping this is indeed the case, I'm not sure how to get that though! But we will be back. Very soon. We were truly heartbroken to leave!
