A few - make that very few - properties offer something that goes beyond a simple 'hotel experience,' and the Hotel Bel-Air is one such. From the old gardens with waterfall and swans to the tasteful lobby fireplace sitting area to the hotel's relatively new 'up the hill' (my

We have just completed what must be around our 20th stay at the Bel Air. The staff, rooms, restaurant and ambience are of the highest standard, but we are always particularly impressed by the quality of the staff in all areas of the hotel. You will not find any better.

When was the last time your rooms were renovated?
Hotel Bel-Air reopened in October of 2011 following a comprehensive two year renovation that included the debut of new guestrooms and suites. I hope this answers your question, and we look forward to welcoming you to Hotel Bel-Air soon. Regards, Denise Flanders, General Manager

Dear Babycakes, Thank you for your question. We welcome families and children of all ages at Hotel Bel-Air. We are very child friendly, and provide complimentary welcome amenities for young guests. Babies and children are welcome in all of our dining outlets and high chairs are available as needed. Children's menus are also offered. Young guests are welcome at the pool, but children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. We do not have a kids club, but we do provide babysitting services with certified and accredited babysitters, and the cost is $30 per hour (four-hour minimum and $35 transportation fee). If there is anything I can further assist with, please do let me know. Until then,we hope to welcome you and your family to Hotel Bel-Air in the near future. Best regards, Edward Mady, Regional Director West Coast USA and General Manager

I am not going to say it is child unfriendly, as it is a very easy going relaxing hotel, but during my various visits have never seen young children staying at the hotel, maybe teenagers, who have been using the pool. Also seen the same groups in the restaurants. During the day have seen many non residents bring young children and babies for lunch meet ups with friends.
