Outstanding hotel and service. You won't pass by a single employee here who does not give you a welcoming "hello" or "good morning" or offer you assistance: from the front desk, bell hop to the cleaning services. The room was clean, organized and very comfortable. They have a classy quick grab deli in house and it's location is perfect for Los Angeles. Special kudos to bellhop Rodolfo who personally moved our heavy boxes to the Convention Center for a show I was doing this weekend. For just $40 the Marriott allows their bellhop to move your boxes/luggage off site to the convention center. I do shows throughout the nation and have NEVER had service like this. This saved me from hiring a Uhaul or doing the work myself. Best money ever spent. This is a classy hotel and I'll definitely stay here in the future.

LA downtown has many hotels but here is a hotel that has true 5 star standards. It is clean, safe and the staff are very polite and affectionate. From the valet’s to the front desk staff, and above all the house keepers. I was checked in by I think Tie who was pleasant. I left my bags with the concierge and left as I did not need my room immediately. I am a Gold elite member with severe feather allergies. There was a small mess up with room assignment. Which was fixed immediately by the rooms operation manager PJ Maldonado. Mr Maldonado went above and beyond and was simply wonderful. He obviously knows the true meaning of service recovery. He kept me with the Marriott brand. But was an incredibly nice person and knows how to keep the customers happy. I just explained my situation to him. Goes to show people understand you. He was soooo understanding. But then I encountered my housekeeper everyday and she was awesome and a big kudos to her. I thanked her everyday . A big kudos to her (room 1067 aug 14-19 2022) . The front office staff Rosa who also checked me out was so polite and pleasant and sweet. The hotel was awesome. Theeee place to stay in LA

Hotel a bit worn and beat up. Disappointing. Rooms need attention as they are not well kept. Overall property has seen better days. Good location for USC and Convention Center, Crypto Arena events but time to paint and replace carpets. Also clean windows. Housekeeping stretched to the point where rooms not well cleaned. Found hairs and stains on areas.

I wouldn’t consider this a “JW” brand because it isn’t up to JW standards. The ONLY good thing is the location if you have an event at LA LiVE I’m a high status elite with Marriott.I must have gotten their worst room with views of construction,air conditioners and every other mechanical machinery They don’t recognize elites and they tell you NOTHING about lounge hours ,etc I didn’t have basic essentials in my room - like hot water,amongst other things It’s a little difficult to get ready for an event when there’s only cold water in the shower . I stayed here because JW is usually a higher end hotel with great staff but not at this location. It’s like a cattle call Try the Ritz next door if you’re expecting good service and a hot shower

Let me just say...my stay actually started off with an issue, but this was promptly resolved and it turned into the best stay at any Marriott property I've had. Abelino, Kellen, and the entire staff took phenomenal care of me (twice)! I had just booked a couple of nights here. Had a stay lined up at another Marriott property. Had such a phenomenal stay that I came back and they upped the ante and took even better care of me the second time around! I was having knee surgery and was having my first couple of days of recovery at the hotel and they really anticipated my needs and made things comfortable. They truly understand the guest experience and how to treat elites. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and the property. The location is amazing and the rooms are tremendous too. They have excellent on property amenities as well (check out the fitness center especially). This is now my favorite hotel and will be the one that I book my stays at in the future. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone and especially fellow elites.

This property is decent. However, there are a couple of issues that need to be addressed. Rooms: clean and comfortable, though for some reason I was placed in a fourth floor room where the sole window had half of the view obstructed by a decidedly unaesthetic metal bar. Hopefully the metal bar is temporary on account of construction, and not something that unfortunate guests will have to deal with over and over again. Food: N/A, didn't get a chance to try it out. Service: This is where the hotel needs to get its act together. The hotel is a convention hotel. They should know to staff during peak convention hours such that guests aren't waiting in line for an hour to check in. They also need to improve their process of notifying guests when rooms are ready (they asked for a phone number but... never called, had to go back to check). Finally, they need to improve service recovery when rooms are not ready by the official check-in time; a F&B voucher or lounge access would go a long way to compensate guests for not having their room at the promised time. This hotel has the potential to be a good hotel. But it won't get there without major investments in service, which they should know as a JW.

Was here for a large conference, beautiful comfortable hotel. However, when a large number of people got out of the conference the elevators couldn't accommodate the size if the group. It took 20 minutes to get an elevator and it seemed not all elevators were running. More important was if you're in a room that faces the street it's so loud at night. Was hard to sleep due to all The traffic. Bring ear plugs if you plan to sleep. The downtown la traffic is loud

Enjoyed a very charming weekend in Los Angeles. I needed a nice getaway without a plane ride. The J.W. was satisfactory. The hotel staff provided great, personalized service. The property was sold out due to USC homecoming however, I was still remembered by name. I'd like to shout out Natalie, who initially helped me, yet I was not prepared to check in at the time. A shout out to Lauren, at check in, as well. Both ladies handled the busyness in the lobby with ease. I appreciated them both for taking their time with me and not making me feel rushed. Kiersten, my hostess, while dining in the Glance bar gave great suggestions and service- kudos to her. Unfortunately, a major downfall to my stay was valet service. They went through my armrest and trunk. My car charger was unplugged, which I've never done myself accidentally in over a year. Also, another item in the armrest was wrong side up. In my trunk, the silver hooks used to lift the faux bottom to reach the spare tire were up. I've also never raised them by chance and when having my car detailed by others, have never seen them raised. Luckily, I've learned to take everything out of my car on regular days, so nothing was taken. However, being a good tipper, this caused me frustration. Their sloppiness was an insult and a warning. I promote solo travel, so this instance was a reminder to hold due diligence for my safety.

Very poor experience. Ramone kept trying to rectify all the mistakes but by the team not “getting it right first time” creates the memories. It is unacceptable to not have the accessible room which we booked 12 months in advance. It is not acceptable to have 1 dirty towel and not acceptable to have just 2 cups when the room is booked for three. There was no bedside table on “my” side of the bed. It is not acceptable to be lied to about the Handicapped WAV which was booked via Reception, the night before. This put the Uber driver (of a non accessible vehicle) in a very difficult situation and put my profoundly disabled son’s safety at immense risk, as well as cause issues getting to the airport in time. It is not acceptable to try and charge me for parking when it was obvious we did not have a vehicle.

This hotel is terrible, all staff are racist. We rented 2 rooms include breakfast, but they charged us 193,82$ more, after we left, although we didn't use any thing or other service . My son call them 3 times and sent several emails, but they ignored. We will never come back to any Marriott in the world!
