We stayed in two different rooms, for one night last week, and three nights this week. First we stayed in room 417. Good size on room and bed, but some kind of machine (ventilation?) made a lot of noise outside our window. It started every 15 minutes and lasted for 2-3 minutes before it turned itself off again. Before starting...

- We stayed here because it was our cheapest option in LA. We paid about $50 USD/ per night by booking 6 months early. We know that if you book last minute you will have to pay about USD $100 a night. - Lets just say paying $50 for two nights or three nights were worth it but if you...

When walking into the hotel we were tricked. The lobby area looks nice. The customer service sucked, the lady was very rude to us. Then there was a $50.00 deposit that not even worth putting down a deposit. When we received our keys we walked towards the room. When we got to the floor. We saw bathroom and shower desigbated...

Arriving in LA the entrance to the hotel/hostel is quite impressive and lots of macs to use with good wifi. There was a nice bar but never seen it in use. Ping pong table and free breakfast. We stayed in a double ensuite room. The room had a tv and window. It was small (as expected) and clean. For us...

This is not a luxury hotel. Its a basic hostel. It was perfect just for somewhere to sleep after a night out in LA. Rooms are small but clean. Had to leave window open as no A/C so dont think I could stay here in summer. Staff were friendly.

When reviewing, I believe if you're staying in a luxury 5 star hotel you get to be fussy. If you're staying in a cheap hostel or motel, you don't. However, there should always be basic standards of cleanliness. This is the one place I let my sister decide on for the whole of our trip... I seriously regretted that decision...

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for a couple of days during our stay in LA. Our room was clean and we had our own sink, but we have shared the bathrooms which weren't really clean. The neighborhood isn't that nice, but we have never felt unsafe. The staff is friendly and helpful, however, when we checked in...

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
