To say we were blown away is an understatement! We are locals who were looking for a quick get-away and have always known the Vick was in Los Alamos but never actually stayed there. Man, were we missing out. From our arrival to our departure we felt spoiled. We had the Egyptian Suite and it did not disappoint. Every detail was a delight. Staying in our room was like being transported into a different world. As an added bonus, our bed was even super comfortable...but our good night's sleep could also have been the result of a nice soak in the enormous tub for two. We didn't read the details upon booking to realize that breakfast was included in our stay, and due to a scheduled conflict on our check-out morning we were unable to enjoy the meal. We informed Vanessa (our hostess -- she was amazing by the way) and later that evening we had a call from her stating that the innkeeper had offered to at least provide us with morning coffee service. What a nice touch! Vanessa and the innkeeper were gracious and accommodating and we haven't stopped talking about what a great stay we had. We will definitely be back. Too much fun to only stay once!

What a delightful surprise when we entered the Egyptian-themed room! It was so well done, tastefully and authentically. The vertical, two-seat soaking tub was relaxing. The room spacious, yet cozy, and quiet, with. Lovely fireplace and a balcony. Highly recommend the Victorian Mansion and any of the six theme rooms.

We stayed in the 1950's room and were so delighted by all of the cool amenities of the room. We loved watching old movies in our Cadillac bed on the projection screen, it felt like we were in a drive in theater! The Japanese soaking tub was incredible to relax in. The themed music was awesome and set the mood of our room and made it extra special. The breakfast here is so delicious, far from just a continental breakfast. We had quiche and muffins with orange juice, coffee and tea one morning and bread pudding and croissants with orange juice, coffee and tea the next morning. I am truly impressed with the detail in the design of the room and the friendly innkeepers. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience. We will be coming back to stay in all of the different themed rooms and bringing friends to experience the fun as well.

Quite possibly the best place I’ve ever stayed, and I’ve stayed at a LOT of places. The breakfast was delicious, the owner Rod is a great guy and the themed room was 100x better than the Madonna inn. It truly is a unique, captivating and comfortable experience. The best bang for your buck.

I heard about the Victorian Mansion on a TV show several years ago. I do not remember what show it was but maybe on Travel Channel...At the time, the rooms were booked FAR in advance and I am definitely NOT a planner. But my birthday was this month and was thinking what could we do without getting on a plane and I thought YES...now is the time ...let me check...And I emailed to make sure they were open and they were! So my favorite of the 6 themes was pirate room...I do want to stay in ALL of them. We took some snacks etc because during the week, not many restaurants were open and there is a fridge in the room. So we got there and IT! WAS! AMAZING!!!! Even cabinets creak when you open them. My first order of business was how do I get the lights swinging and those thunder storms going??? And we did not ever turn them off. Even though my hubby said turn it off on the second night and I was like SERIOUSLY??? NOT HAPPENING!!! He will be lucky if I don't make him install swinging lights at home. I was so excited I kept looking at photos for the 2 weeks leading up to it. I found out the person who responded to my email and said call any time was the OWNER!!! Rod is super sweet and he bought the Victorian Mansion after finding out it was about to be lost to the world. He thought they were the gold standard of bed and breakfasts. I, as a business owner as well, am SO HAPPY for him to get not only his dream but the gold standard of his dream! Denise has been there 10 years and she was awesome. The breakfasts were INCREDIBLE!!! OMG!!! I do not know who makes them but both days were different but equally amazing! You let them know when you want to eat and it appears in a dumbwaiter in the room. They have a book explaining the origins of the hotel, how Rod got it and descriptions of each room and future plans as well as particulars for your room...It was just fabulous and I cannot wait to go back!
