We stayed in the 50s room, which was a real kick. Bed in a 50s Caddy! Interesting system of lights all controlled electronically, & zany projector for watching movies in bed with the top of the windshield in the way. Bed was surprisingly comfy. We watched The Blob, hilarious. Bathroom quite cramped, the only negative. Breakfast next morning was great.... More

We're not big on B&Bs. But this is like no B&B you've ever seen. 6 themed rooms. We stayed in the Roman Room. You could literally never leave the room (but do! the town is cute!). We were greeted by the proprietor and then never saw another human being (yay!), even though all rooms were booked. The place is very... More

"Celebrated my 50th birthday with my wife in beautiful California wine-country & The Victorian Mansion sticks out as the most memorable part of our weekend. We stayed in the 50's themed room (50 yrs old), and were overwhelmed with the detail and overall layout of the room...Very fun!!! There is plenty to do in the area if you are looking... More

We took a chance having read a review that Los Alamos is developing to be the in place over weekends. The only place available that seemed 'special' appeared to be The Victorian Mansion. When we checked in, we realised that it would be a fun place for one or two nights for young couples who want to experience the 'extraordinary'... More

It took 10 years to complete the interior fantasy rooms in this remarkable place. Met the original owner and got to see the rooms as they were being created. Be sure to ask about the fascinating history of the Mansion. Each of the rooms let you immerse yourself in a total fantasy. My favorite is the Egyptian Room. Also love... More

We arrived on Friday for two days that included a wine tour package. We stayed in the Egyptian themed room, and it was stunning! Rod, the owner, was amazing, as was Diane. Breakfast was "to die for", and the wine in the room was spectacular. We has so much fun, and we shall return. The big question is, "Which themed... More

My husband who is a major car guy and I celebrated our 5th anniversary by staying the night in the 50's suite! It was a surprise for him and he was blown away! You can't get better than being able to sleep in a Cadillac while also watching a movie if you want like you are at the drive in!... More

My husband and I spent two amazing nights in the French Suite to celebrate my Birthday. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. From the hot tub for two, to the French music CD, to the complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate, to the delicious breakfast delivered magically in the dumb waiter of our room to eat outside on our... All of the reviews and pictures didn't fully prepare me for the actuality. From the outside, the Mansion is pretty impressive. But inside---WOW! Bailey greeted us by the parking lot and has us wait in the lovely flower garden while she checked in some other guests. We took the opportunity to explore the wreck of the King of Denmark's racing... More

My husband with our son and his wife spent the Easter weekend at the Mansion. The place is almost beyond description. There is no check-in desk. Rod, the owner, seems always to be outside to greet you upon arrival or departure but there is a phone number listed if he's not there. He's a charming guy with lots of info... More
