What a gem! Tons of character, yet super comfortable rooms...no sacrificing comfort and amenities for charm :-) The manager is friendly, ensures you are settled in shares fun insight on the property. It is right in the middle of East Long Beach's art district and right across the street from an insanely good Thai restaurant (Thai District)
Really nice well secured room located in downtown Long Beach right next to places to eat and sight see while you take a walk. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Key access via mobile code was really helpful.
Quaint, quiet, but in the middle of everything you want to see in Long Beach. Excellent service, quality rooms, artistic and stylish. The breakfast was a bit plain, but for the price and location it really can't be beat.
It was a great weekend stay. Felt at home and had the time and space to relax, get some work done, and spend quality time with my significant other. I highly recommend this place because of it’s beautiful design, cleanliness, and friendly staff who welcome you.
This place is a joke! We were told that we were getting 2 rooms with queen beds with a jack and jill bathroom. When we got to long beach, our navigation system couldn't even find this place. After 45 minutes of driving around, we found what looked like a small coffee shop which turned out to be the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel. If you want to park overnight, you can park in garage 2 blocks down the street for $8. When we checked in with "Jose", we were told that we were only given one room with a full bed for the 5 days that we had booked for 3 adults. Jose stated that he never told us that we were booking 2 rooms, although we made reservations over the phone and confirmed 3 different times that the booking was for 2 rooms with queen beds. Jose would not give us a second room. Refused to let us speak to manager. We only stayed for the first night and after dealing with the incompetent Jose, I booked a different hotel for the rest of our stay. The hotel itself would compare at best to a youth hostel in Europe. To get to the rooms, you have to go up 43 steps as there is no elevator in the building. When we saw the room, we were absolutely flabbergasted. The room was at most 12×10 with a full sized queen bed, not the queen bed that we had booked. The jack and jill bathroom was actually a shared bathroom for the entire floor of rooms. The accommodations in no way match the pictures on their booking sites. The entire hotel was misrepresented and the management and their "resolution" to their error was just the icing on the cake. They refused to refund our money for the nights that we did not use and wanted to give us an "upgrade" for the remaining nights that would have been an additional charge. So 3 adults had to split time sleeping in this one full sized bed and the floor of the hotel room. Jose did finally bring us a ratty plastic chair so that there was a place to sit in the room other than the bed This was by far the worst hotel and customer service experience I've ever had in my life and that is saying a lot coming from an experienced world traveler and customer service specialist for more than 8 years. My best advice is avoid this dump and Jose like the plague.…
